Withdrawing money from paypal problem (in Off-topic)

I've got a question about withdrawing money from paypal. Is it possible to withdraw money from paypal to somebody else bank's account ? Because currently, I live in Indonesia and I can't withdraw money from paypal. I'm about to ask my friend in Australia to get it for me.

If it's not possible, is there any other solution besides sending my paypal money to my friend's paypal account ? (because that would reduce the money, but if I can't do anything else, that would be the only option).

add his account to your paypal, or spend the money by ordering stuff off the internet like i did.

ordering stuff from the internet is not an option too, because usually the "stuff" is lost when it comes to Indonesian Post office (I've had so many problems with them, I can't even bother using it again) and the cost for DHL, FEDEX seems too expensive.

I think I'll try to add his account to my paypal but when paypal transfer the money, I thought they need your paypal name for the bank account ? Will they ask for some sort of confirmation or something else ?

I'm not a professional at the bank account thingie but I had the same situation some time back. "Attaching" an Australian bank account to Paypal will also incur charges. You may be better off to transfer Paypal to Paypal instead if your friend is just going to use it online anyway. If you did it with an American bank, I know there is no charge. Internationally though, there is. Use this link to see.

Hmmm... I never realized the charge was low (AU$1 for less than $150 withdrawal). I think the fees hitting you is from conversion though. :)

Well, I'm actually asking my friend to withdraw it for me to his bank account (he got a bank account in australia and will be visiting me soon).

I thought that there are no fees for australian withdraw. "Free for $150.00 AUD or more, $1.00 AUD for $149.99 AUD or less to bank accounts in Australia." And a 20 aud return fee if the bank account information is incorrect.

I don't think I'll risk that, I guess the best way would be to send the money to my friend's paypal account and let him withdraw it, hopefully he's a verified premier member.

Well, good luck with it though. Hope it turns out alright. For me, I just buy stuff online and let the cash become goods. Works for me. :D
