Ive been wanting to get one since i have two minions with fire. now that i have one im not sure what to do with it. i have it attached to one of my fire slingers. but i dont see how it helps. i thought it train my the fire of the minion. any help on this subject would be awesome.

Your fire familiar is the minion itself. It's like an invisble fireball caster and his exp is trained automatically. you can see him in action if you turn on your fight log.
What spaceman tried to say was after you fight, there should be an option to turn on play-by-play...=) You'll then be able to see your fire familiar in action.

Yah, he doesn't "train the FB on one of your minions." Which is what I think you meant by: 'i thought it train my the fire of the minion'.
It creates a 'third' minion. What's called a familiar (if you have any expierance with D&D or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night you'll understand this word, as well as a few other places.). This thing is just a flame thrower, he automatically trains HP and FB, and just dishes out fire damage.
