Public apology to everyone involved: (in Public Record)

AdminShade June 27 2005 5:56 AM EDT

Last week I made a post in: Find me a funny picture and Win 25K! and entered 2 pictures.

What I didn't pay attention to is that one of them had a quite racistic remark in it and that I shouldn't have put it online here, especially because of the exact remark on it.

An entire discussion followed and I was asked by multiple people to remove it, some people were defending me making the entire mistake into something ugly.

I here by apologize for my action if you have seen it and were hurt by it, I had no ill meanings with it and, though very stupidly, didn't think of a different side of the picture. I have fined myself $100,000 which multiple admins have found a reasonable amount considering the size of the damage dealt.

I also state that I have no dealings with the people that have defended me and I sincerely wish them not to have done it, it only made people more angry at me because they thought I asked people to defend me.

So again I apologize because I know what racism can do to people and the hurting that it gives.

Yours Truly,

Shade aka Dennis.

(p.s. I will keep this post open but only for on topic reasons, off topic posts and posts from people not involved will be removed.)

I would like to say that I wasn't asked to stand up for Shade. In fact, I haven't really talked to Shade in ages. However, much like what was posted is offensive in America, I figured I'd stand up for the philosophy of innocent until proven guilty.
