Just goes to show that even high scores can be reduced...

Reining in the Top dogs maybe? Showing others, and newer players that the Top can be beaten.

He dropped rangers score a ton, but didn't get his to increase... this is bad for rewards.....

I don't think it was about Johnnywas' rewards... Or clan points...

That top 5 score divide has vanished for the moment though.

Not Johnny's rewards, like I'd care. Everyone's rewards... ranger's lowered score will lower everyone else's score (at least for a few days).

Ranger would be happy with the free XP he's getting too.

If it slows down the rewards for all the top players, that's even better!! Make it easier for someone with the ability to reach the top!

Heh, maybe we can get more low score players to do the same thing! ;)

This reminds me of a thread, but I can't remember or find it, about score being the defining value for a character (Rangers not got a bad strategy, or removed all his equipment, yet it has been easily lowered) .

Well Jack Crow's score did jump up to over 600k for a while, I got some nice rewards from farming Jack Crow and so did a few others I suspect, so there will be some trickle down effects to other players in the form of slightly higher scores for mid range characters (not a huge effect though).

Ranger will lower the score of the likes of Gyaxx, Almuric and Bartlett when he fights them now, and those people will lower the scores slightly of the people on their fight lists. So overall scores will probably lower slightly with the top characters suffering more than the lower ones.

I doubt scores and rewards will change much overall though.

If the thought of this "experiment" was to make sure the higher players got lower rewards, then it failed as my rewards are just as bad as they were before the giantkilling.

Damn, I couldn't even beat him after 29 fights! =(

Cheeeers Johnnywas, my score and rewards have been down ever since this happened, they're only just recovering.
