Chet must not smile! (in Contests)

How many of you others are envious of this man who smiles so often in the forum?! Wouldn't you like to see him NOT smile for once? Just kidding, Chet. ;)

Anyhow, as a fun little contest, I thought I'd see if it was possible for Chet not to use any sort of emotion in posts or chat for 1 week. If he can, he wins 50k and any other donations to the contest sent in to Brock Samson. If he does show an emotion of sorts, the person who causes it (must be provable and verified by Chet) will win the pot. Good luck, Chet! =)

Hm, well, I failed to show emotion in a couple chatmails I just sent, so maybe this contest is clairvoyant. I can easily do this for a week. I will tell you my cheat, though. I will be turning off chat and simply not posting anything. Does that count? Would love to take your money. I gots a minion to fund.

Considering that it's change-month, and there are sure to be a couple more changes, I don't think Chet could resist posting his opinions of the changes *smile*

make it more interesting and make him join New Players chat...=) more lively there, and he has to post in at least 5 threads before the week is up...lol.

i think that the prize should increase by increments, whenever he makes a post or someone confirms a chatmail from him. also increases per line in chatroom. (guessed at, not exact...)

Well, I only have chat at work, so half the time I am not in chat even if I don't turn it off. Also, with promotion I will likely not be posting much, so I can definitely be stoic for a week.

I personally will not contribute to the pot unless Chet makes it a challenge. Come on man, don't avoid the challenge, take it on head first!

I guess I don't know what "take on the challenge" means...I have gone for more than a week at a time naturally without posting and rarely being in chat... I will promise to act normal though, and not smile or show emotion. It really won't be that hard.

I have not smiled or shown any sort of emotion. I don't know if the bet is on or not, but I have no problem being stoic at the moment. I did not smile on the "I'm Stuck" thread, at least not yet.

I was only following the rule in forum posts or chat. If I had known chatmails counted too, I assure you it would have been no problem to not include it there.

I don't know why everyone even thinks this would be hard for me.

If you want, start the week over right now and I will avoid emotions in all forms of communication. It really isn't much of a challenge for me.

So, do I win? Any reports of scandalous emotion over the past week?

This isn't even much of a contest really as Chet could be sat at home for a month like a cheshire cat but it would be simple to not add it into his internet musings.
