Is this considered acceptable? (in General)

OK I could just go to an admin about this but I want to see what some of you think as although spamming is against the rules of chat there is nothing on spamming a specific persons chat window.
Also I am not asking for any action to be taken against the people involved although I would like a personal (or public) apology for the behaviour of these people.
Aero has already apologised for it.

That's when you turn off chat. If because of that sort of childish behaviour that many of us just never go into chat.

i'll put this as blunt as i can. zog you got what you deserved. you interject yourself in situations that have nothing to do with you all the time. don't whine when somebody annoys you like you do them.

I would turn my chat off but there are some nice people I enjoy talking to in CB chat and I do like to socialise while I am here as it does keep me here for more than 5 minutes.
The other day I was talking to a reasonably new player called Oddbird so while he was waiting to get hold of a ToA I decided to let him forge my MgS for near BS price instead of wasting time forging a main gauche to a high level and we have got on well in chat since then.
I believe there are many people in chat who are great to talk to about anything and everything but I do see quite a lot that there are also a small handful who repel me from chat also.

That is a really dumb way to think MegamanV and Lukey. I'm sorry but "eye for an eye" is just not a sound idea. You can't say, "You deserve to be harased" because no one deserves it. If Zoglog is doing something wrong the admins will handle it. And I can garuntee spamming his chat over and over like that is no proper way to handle any type of problem. This looks like a buch of junior high school kids taking a joke to far too long.

If you are annoyed by a player, ignore them once. Spamming is not the answer and there is no arguement against that.

I wasn't quite as bothered by Lukey as we always mess with each other like that.
In general I don't do personal attacks and harrassment.
When I give an opinion of things I give examples of something but I keep it there, I don't simply say "I hate you because you're an idiot" and I certainly don't keep going on about it.
The only person I feel I may have treated even slightly unfairly in my time is Ranger as he really is a good guy and it is more his forum posts that get me rather than his personality.
So Ranger if you read this again I apologise and hope we can return to being decent aquaintances.

Honestly, I don't think you are a bad guy, Zog - and I'm not saying that because you gave me forging work to do when I was bored, and at a good price - I mean in general conversation. Don't any one of you say you've never interjected yourselves into a conversation in which you didn't belong before, either - because you have. this has happened on many occasions, and the solution is quite simple...zog, i dont have anything against you, but it IS your fault for letting it go on for so long...

all it takes is a simple ignore, and you ignore both of them. then it doesnt tell you what they do....its really that simple.

next time someone spams your chat like that, iggy them and be done with it, case closed.

Maybe I could have just ignored them and it be over and done with but would then that not just mean normal spamming should be justified but followed up with people ignoring them?
This was the only point I was really trying to get at that it is spamming all the same and if it should be followed up by a /kick or /kill as with normal spamming.
Added to that this is a situation anybody can be put in at any time by somebody, turning straight to ignore for it then chat could become rather chaotic itself with a situation where everybody had someone different ignored.

Spamming is making a public nuisance of yourself.

This is making a _private_ nuisance of yourself, and CB provides excellent tools for dealing with private nuisances. Use them instead of crying for mommy.
