Will there be Tournaments on CB2? (in General)

Huh, I missed seeing that thread somehow. Each change month, I had been hoping for a return of tourneys...

I miss tournaments. Even though I only actually played in a few of them I really enjoyed spectating.

Thanks for the link. Each change month I kept hoping that Jon would re-introduce them and now I can let that hope go. Better to know than to keep wondering.

How hard would it be to make tournament-characters NOT have a NUB or be able to use a tat?? Come on... let us play!

One of the things I do miss is tourneys... currently CB is feeling a bit stagnant; same thing day after day; and i'm not sure what there is left for me to do; tournaments fill that void by testing out strategic intellect.

The NUB is not a problem for tournaments; neither are tatts; if you don't want them in a tourney; then simply don't allow tatts to be bought from auctions; they don't stay in store the minimum 10 minutes to buy.

NUB would not apply to tournaments or alternatively; all players would get the NUB equiv... that'd sure make life interesting if Ranger took a week off to play with a tourney char and had a NUB :-)

As for advancing chars; with NUB; tourneys are a bad way to do this; I see tourneys being for older players who want something else to do.

Tourneys should be more about enjoyment; a new weekly challenge and strategic planning; not sure what problems are with them...

I agree with Gaza.

I saw the NUB as a potential problem. Making it so no tourny character has a bonus would disuade new users from taking part in tournies. On one hand, tournies could be for older players feeling stagnent, or with no goals.

But tourny characters had increased cash rewards, so why not make ever tourny character have a NUB equivalent. (without the inflated cash rewards from CB1)

Tempt old and new players alike.

Old with something new, and a challenge and goal to meet. New, lose nothing from their NUB (apart from not concentrating it on 1 char) but have the cance to try something new, and win stuff!
