paintball: what is the average time for a team after "go" to bring up there guns and fire.

in speed ball...

you have one week

winner wins something

cronoswing August 17 2005 4:35 PM EDT

ends the 24th

Bull3t F4c3 August 17 2005 4:36 PM EDT

id say about 1-2 seconds, because on go the backs are laning on the break

Skunk August 17 2005 4:37 PM EDT

3 secs then for me :p

cronoswing August 17 2005 4:39 PM EDT

nope keep guessing

! Love Barney August 17 2005 4:41 PM EDT

When the horn blows the guns are up and shooting before it ends. The guns are up anywhere between really fast and fast. :)

Bull3t F4c3 August 17 2005 4:45 PM EDT

bad guess but, 10-12 seconds because there is a 3-2-1 10 seconds call, then they play

cronoswing August 17 2005 4:46 PM EDT

after they say go lol

Relic August 17 2005 4:47 PM EDT

.5 seconds.

strongbad August 17 2005 4:55 PM EDT

15 seconds

Synco August 17 2005 4:56 PM EDT

0 seconds.

Synco August 17 2005 4:58 PM EDT

1.5 seconds.

boomdogg August 17 2005 5:01 PM EDT

Depends. If your doing capture the flag on a hundred yard field for example, don't you wait til you have something in range. How about 18 seconds.

Bull3t F4c3 August 17 2005 5:07 PM EDT

on speedball u can see the opponent from the start

! Love Barney August 17 2005 5:29 PM EDT

i bet he's gonna give like 2 cents for a prize

Bull3t F4c3 August 17 2005 5:38 PM EDT

is this for backs or fronts, or the first shot fired, or when the whole team is shooting?

AdminShade August 17 2005 6:22 PM EDT

in speedball, a friend told me you would shoot the second "go" has been shouted. so 0 seconds (which has already been answered but I'll try anyway)

cronoswing August 17 2005 9:15 PM EDT

ok sorry i had an eye appointment it is for whom ever back front mid and it is not 2 cents

cronoswing August 17 2005 9:19 PM EDT

ok guys i think glory should win .5 he said ...... it is really .4 sec congrats glory

Relic August 17 2005 9:20 PM EDT

thanks :)

Dragon Slayer August 17 2005 9:21 PM EDT

hmmm for a back its probably .5 seconds for a mid .8 seconds and for a frontman maybe 1.5 seconds
so average of that would be .9 seconds

Relic August 17 2005 9:38 PM EDT

So, what prize did I win?

Bull3t F4c3 August 17 2005 9:57 PM EDT

"winner wins something"

lol..probably very very small

Todd August 17 2005 10:25 PM EDT

Front Man: In some fields, you will send a front man as far as up to the fifty, without even firing a shot. Or, you may have him run and gun off the break. There is no single one best way to breakout.

Back players almost always shoot off the break, shooting the lanes (where the opposing players will be by the time your paintballs reach the other end of the field).

Mid players can play like back or front, depending on the field, and the number of players.

Check out this video (paintball team I am on). We are a 3 man team.. all in our family. As you see, the far guy (me), runs and guns shooting the lanes, but I am very quick off the draw on the gun. The middle guy is my 16 year old who is slow off the draw, but shoots the lanes too. My wife (right hand player) does a unique run and gun effort :)
I hope this works for you. You might have to DL it. Video

thats sweet...only if my dad and mom played paintball..ahh, just think.."hey son should i get an angel or a timmy?"..wow! advice: tell your son to not kneel on both knees..thats how u get bunkerd, but anyways sweet video..btw where is that at?

! Love Barney August 18 2005 2:31 AM EDT

what are you talking about? we go paintballing all the time bull3t.

Todd August 18 2005 7:23 AM EDT

You laugh... but that is actually the conversations that happen in our house.

I have a DM4, my son has a Timmy. When my wife wanted to play, we would discuss what gun to get for her.. we ended up with a Timmy.

And, he's on his knees to get lower. That field was rich with laydowns, which provided a very sweet opportunity to "blind shoot" (shooting at your opponent while looking in their direction, but not actually seeing them)over these laydowns towards all 3 home bunkers.. back left, back right and home. But, yo uhad to get as low as possible. had he been on one knee (the normal stance when down behind a bunker), he would not have had such a sweet shot. We walked the field before hand, and noticed this. But, yes, at his bump up, he should have gone to one knee, or do the Dynasty "power crunch" (squatting like you're taking a crap in the woods -only way I can describe it). :o

But, yeah, good times.

Bull3t F4c3 August 18 2005 8:17 PM EDT

ya..i see what u mean..where is that field at?

Trauma August 18 2005 10:13 PM EDT

Well just to contribute what I think 0 seconds for the backs to fire the backs always have to shoot lots and lots to hope and pick someone off early. Mids may take a little while longer i'm gonna say about .5 seconds. For fronts about 1 second because he need s to get to the 50.

Bull3t F4c3 August 19 2005 3:35 AM EDT

lol he gets to the 50 in 1 second?

Todd August 19 2005 6:44 AM EDT

I thought I responded to this already. I must not have clicked confirm :(

The field is Niagara paintball Games in Niagara Falls, Ontario
