A ToE Overpowered Thread? (in General)

Help answer Sefton's question and say whether or not we need a ToE is overpowered thread. You could just say no or you could just say yes, but most likely you'll start ranting.

Gyaxx just now, due to the nerfs, does little damage with his BoTH.

Of all the major 5 weapons its the least powerful base damage.

Just add the possibility of a 5th hit every round to the one handed weapon chance to hit bonus and its all good :)

For that big of NW I think it should do more damage than he is doing though. He should at least be doing around 50K average damage against those in his post imo.

Nope not overpowered, it's only overpowered when a player can't dish out 100k dmg a hit. Now if their normal hits are only 30k, then yes high level toe can be overpowered.

not long ago everyone was like ToA + elbow + archery = overpowered, take a look how many ToA tanks are using both archery and an elbow now. Seems like we need to have a ToA + BL + Morg over powered thread, or at least one of Sut's everyone will be ToA + BL + Morg + axbow that's boring posts! Where is Sut when I need him! Seems like he is ALWAYS posting when I don't, think he might be a cop or something?

I have gotten quad hits in ranged but not in melee yet. I don't know if the code restricts the quad hit in melee, I will have to watch my play-by-play more to see if I ever get quads in melee.

If you have a big enough DX advantage, and pth bonus, you get quad hits. My axbow is +101, I have a 670K lvl ToA (not sure of the pth bonus on it), and a 300K+ DX (Used to be almost 400K before the recent ToA nerf).

I do not quad hit everytime, I think I need more DX because of the nerf, but I still do quad hits, they are just more rare. :)

Dex has nothing to do with quads vs triples other than give you the 2 base hits. Its all pth after that for 3,4,...x hits after that.

I suspect if your pth is +51 youll get another hit 1% of the time. Each additional pth raises that by 1% up to +151 then youll get 4 hits 1% of the time with 3 all the time. This assumes your dex gives you 2 hits.

The reason I had a major problem with Archery + ToA + ELB was that it went first. The only other thing on par with it was FB or another Archery + ToA + ELB.

BL + Big weapon causes a lot of damage. But it goes at the same time as CoC which does big damage. And there's three ranged rounds before it.

ToE s work best stopping many small hits. They do jack for few big hits.

IE, (pth is plus to hit)

Your dex chance to hit or hit twice is independant of your pth to hit.

You can get 0, 1 or 2 hits with the dex, thats it.

Pth gives you the extras.

If you dont hit, you both fail the dex chance to hit and the pth chance to hit.

DB's lower the pth by the + that they are and if they are more than the pth, they now can actually lower the dex chance to hit.

Also, do not forget that TOA's give a pth. No one knows their level of pth but we do have 1 reference point. A 450k TOA gives between 40-45 pth. And we also know its not a linear relationship.

So add the weapons pth and the pth of the TOA to get the final pth (just for TOA tanks).

nah he only lands 5. to land more he would need another 100 pth.
