Who wants to be #1? (in General)

just out of interest; why would anyone want to be in Ranger's (or probably most of the top 10's) shoes. I mean; currently a new player plays for 3 days and gets double Ranger's rewards... it kind of makes me feel glad I'm not number 1!

Well, I'm enough of a casual player that I would hate the responsibility I would have if I were number 1. You wouldn't be allowed to take time off, miss BA, or even slow down and take the time to enjoy the game. As is, I try to keep up and advance to have a strong character I can be proud of, but it's nowhere near the same.

I'm happy where I am on here, although being a bit higher would be nice too of course. But I like being able to goof off and leave for several days without worrying about being overtaken.

And rewards aren't everything. If you play CB for the rewards, meaning the $100 and 20xp per minion stuff, you need to find a new reason to play. Play it because you enjoy it, the strategy, the friends, etc.

um, I prefer to be number 1 than being number 50 or 70 or whatever number I am right now. Being number 1, no matter what, the NUB players couldn't reach you, unless you stop playing. Being number 50 or 70, in 1 month you will get beaten/farmed by the newbies, no matter how hard you play.

Well I sort of forced myself into a bet so I will be #1.

Would being #1, in this case, necessitate equipping a ToA?

I'd much rather be #2 and have many fierce battles with #1 keeping the whole community in suspense about who will come out on top.

Then eventually i'd say #1 is unbeatable, change my characters name, become a forger and then whine about how unbalanced the game is.

I prefer to shoot for the realistic goals ;)

Back when I first acquired El Cid in CB1 and was #1, I found it to be very anti-climactic. All of the sudden there was nobody bigger than me. The only character I couldn't always kill in one fight was Spid, who was #2. It took a lot of the fun out of the game for me. There was no "I've got to make this tweak to beat this guy so I can climb up a notch", it was just win, win win...

Today I become number one!

And #2 is "the first loser".
So, I choose #3. Yeah, I want to be #3. 'Cuz 3 is a magic number...

GL - # 1 isn't impossible for anyone. Glory's made huge strides into the top 10, as a non-NUB example.

Glory used some usd, and bought that character, which I believe already mentioned by GL (using usd, buy top 10 characters). It's not that hard at all to become number 1 or in top 10 without the NUB, you just have to use usd.

USD can only get you so far, you have to somewhat know what you are doing...:P

If I have 120 mil+ NW, I think I know what I am doing, and how to be in top 10. ;)

Anyhow, it's impossible to be number 1 without the help of NUB or usd. (I should say it's impossible to be in top 3 or 5 without the help of NUB or usd).
