Sudoku has really got big recently, the book shops are have a section on Guides to sudoku, books chockablock with sudokus, sooner or later you're gonna have the Official Sudoku World Championships :)
Best thing since sliced bread!
I have even moved onto ones with 4x4 grids and even 3x3 grids with shapes outlined where the numbers also have to add up to a certain number while keeping with original rules also :D

my mom got addicted to this.
I sort of got addicted but then discovered a site that helps/can solve the puzzles even the hardest/toughest ones with like 10-12 different gusses stuff where the newspapers only have 2 at most. So yea the site has its own puzzles that are even harder. What is funny is the script on there can solve the puzzle in like 2 seconds or less where people take like days or couple hours.
Oh and runescape has its own version of soduku with runes being the substitute for numbers, I did not realize this until I discovered that my mom plays soduku.
