Multi: Lots (in Public Record)

Several of those were obviously multi, but many were feeding their cash to M1tch and eventually The3Stooges.
All banned.

Bah, there goes that Tattoo I loaned to him :-P

QBJohnnywas September 23 2005 6:41 AM EDT

That all just seems like way too much hard work. I know he probably had a NUB running on several of those but is it worth it?!?!

TrueDevil [AAA] September 23 2005 7:29 AM EDT

Not sure when this got caught but if he just have like 1 month, with that many multi, he could get plenty of usd. Close to 1k usd or more probably.

AdminShade September 23 2005 7:32 AM EDT

he had NUB on almost all of those accounts...

QBJohnnywas September 23 2005 7:36 AM EDT

worth it if you are making cash then...

QBOddBird September 23 2005 10:42 AM EDT

I'm impressed. I'd be too 'fraid to lose my account to multi once, but to have this many (and spend BA on them all)? Wow. This takes dishonesty to an entirely new level =P

Grim Reaper September 23 2005 12:44 PM EDT

Jeeze if they all were supporters and each account on different ip.... that guy would have gotten away with things and been rich.

Special J September 23 2005 1:19 PM EDT

Being a supporter wouldn't make a single difference.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] September 23 2005 1:21 PM EDT

Might we consider putting the names on the _inside_ of the post when listing them all in the header makes that header 5 lines long?

Special J September 23 2005 1:22 PM EDT

done

Barron [CB2BANK Investors Club] September 23 2005 1:59 PM EDT

This is pretty discouraging. The multi issue is ridiculous at this point. It all stems from the NUB and the abilityto convert cb2 to usd. I think it needs to be addressed by the admins beyond just banning and resetting. The NUB was a good idea, but I think it has caused this mess. Time to think of an alternative. Someone brought up the idea of just increasing experience rewards during the NUB, and not increasing money rewards.

Tezmac September 23 2005 2:03 PM EDT

We had lots of multis on CB1, we've had our share on CB2. You NUB haters are just looking for something else to add to your arsenal.

Barron [CB2BANK Investors Club] September 23 2005 2:05 PM EDT

Hmm..I wonder about veterans who are NUB lovers as well. Anyway I'm not a NUB hater or lover. Justmaking an observation. Noone can deny the connection between rewards and multis. USD is a big incentive here folks.

AdminG Beee September 23 2005 2:06 PM EDT

There is always an exception but the majority of multi's lately have been newbs who just haven't read the T&C's.
We get between 50 - 80'ish new accounts signed up every day so it's inevitable that some of them will be dumb and make multi accounts either through ignorance (at least initially) or sheer stupidity and think they can get away with it.

bartjan September 23 2005 2:16 PM EDT

Note: I do not think that this was 1 user (ab)using all those accounts. What was obvious from the evidence is that there were 2 or 3 groups of accounts that were clearly multi. Because many of those accounts were doing single sided transfers consisting of all their earnings towards The3Stooges, I didn't really bother to put an actual number on how many life forms were behind these accounts, as it wouldn't really affect the outcome.

AdminShade September 23 2005 2:39 PM EDT

3stooges and mitch were brothers, they made all these accounts apparently.

These boys are in a house in which 2 families take residence.

smetto and Vassalisk are of the same family and i had warned smetto because i already saw 5 accounts linked to his IP address, alas it didn't help.

smetto and Vassalisk haven't YET been busy with multi feeding so they still exist, and will exist most likely because they can't send it to the 'master multi' account.

Barron [CB2BANK Investors Club] September 23 2005 3:35 PM EDT

One suggestion that I'll throw out at this time is, on a sporadic basis, for an admin to do a money trail search for someone who is selling cb2 for usd. This will make the multi think twice about selling the cb2. It's sort of like drug testing randomly.

Barron [CB2BANK Investors Club] September 23 2005 4:03 PM EDT

You don't even have to be passing cash or items from one character to another to abuse the NUB. A player creates a character, uses up the NUB, then has a big "quitting cb2 and selling off for usd sale". How many of those do we see every week? The player then starts a new character with a new NUB and does the cycle over. Is there anything wrong with this? I guess not.

Special J September 23 2005 5:41 PM EDT

oh good lord,

We catch that Barron, seriously drop the NUB complaint and find something new this month to blame the world coming to an end on.

If you want to follow money around then you are more than able to see transfers to and from everyone.

I think we are doing just fine and dandy watching signups and one sided transfers, multis are ALWAYS going to be apart of CB until we can find them and snipe them down.
