Time to add a new Forum Group? (in Off-topic)

RAMPAGE September 23 2005 2:23 PM EDT

With so many posts jamming the Active Threads and PR Forums I'm starting to think all these multi posts need to have their own forum group. This way people can ignore them if the wish and make it easier to find any posting in PR you might be looking for.

People that search for multis should know to look better and to come with good arguments BEFORE posting in public record.
That would save us almost half of the multi reports from past month alone.

I turn the PR forum off, its always just filled with useless crap that I don't need to look at.

Shade to cut down on frivolous multi post would be to charge a fee for posting(like FS/WTB).
The fee could be refunded if the person is found to be guilty.

Or we could just start fining people for being wrong. Depends, do you want your money taken away as you post or after the fact.

less witch hunt would be better though imho

There are far too many "uh... these people have similar IP addresses... an admin should check" posts.

If you want to accuse someone of being a multi resent some proof. If you're not willing to put in the effort to do some digging then don't post anything.

Sheesh

A far better idea is simply to CM or PM an admin and say look, check these guys out, and then let them do their job.

Send all Multi threats to GB in the form a CM with no punctuation.

Yes, a plan indeed.
