What happen with ELB, I cannot sell it for less than the NW.
ELB almost 3M nw,cannot sell it for 2.8M.What happen?
is it archery nerf...

krasko October 2 2005 7:58 PM EDT

I saw 7mil NW elb (named) going for 4 mil.

Dragon Slayer October 2 2005 8:00 PM EDT

yea the archery nerf was pretty much what did it...axbow is now the most powerful ranged weapon in the game

Jordan23 October 2 2005 8:01 PM EDT

Why its the best range weapon again mage for TOA tank

krasko October 2 2005 8:03 PM EDT

It seems even you have changed the ELB with Axbow. If you can answer to yourself why you did ,u can answer to the question why nobody wants ELB too.

chappy [Soup Ream] October 2 2005 8:10 PM EDT

ELB is still best for ARCHERY skilled tanks IMO ... and then BL TANKS either go with ExBOW or AxBow ... depending ..

ARCHERY = faster so the more raw damage you do the better

BLOODLUST = slower so you normally want to make your opponent slower or weaker

Mikel [Bring it] October 2 2005 8:11 PM EDT

Call me hardcore, but I'm not going to give up my Elb for an Axbow. There's ways to beat those with Axbow's. I am working on it.

Jordan23 October 2 2005 8:11 PM EDT

I have change to AX bow because of my strat.TOA tank strat

QBRanger October 2 2005 8:59 PM EDT

Its just not the elb thats having a problem.

If you look almost all other items are losing their value. From DB to ELB to MH to BoNE.

The only items that seem to be of high value are the corn and AG.

CoolWater October 2 2005 9:11 PM EDT

Everyone is going with mage cause it's cheap and strong. So, why need an Elbow. Most older characters with tank would probably have an Elbow already. And those who just started, probably started with a mage team and if it's strong enough, why bother changing to a tank strat.

A reason for deflation of some objects may be the auctions ..

Wonderpuff October 2 2005 9:28 PM EDT

The base cost of items is moving downwards is all. And that's because you can obtain them directly through auctions rather than paying some morlock a premium because of clickmastery.

Figure out what the re-centered cost of a base one is, tack on a % of the NW increase... and you're closer to a real market price.

The conundrum of the Tank.

First, you go Archery and Elbow. This works well; you do a lot of damage in every round. The downside is you have two weapons you have to maintain.

Then, another tank comes along. He chooses an Axbow and bloodlust. During the ranged rounds, he nukes the DX of the archer tank. Once melee comes around, all of his non-tank minions are dead, but since the only offense the archer has is his tank, the axbow wielder can take his time to kill off his opponent, since the archer now has a hard time hitting him.

Enter the mage. The archer does too much damage in ranged (especially with Seekers), so the mage usually loses to the tank. However, the axbow wielder is vulnerable. The axbow only hits two rounds in ranged and doesn't do nearly as much damage as the elbow. With the mage surviving to melee, the DD team has a very good chance of winning.

If the axbow wielder then switches back to archery, he's again vulnerable to any other axbowers, but likely to toast all the mages.

It's an interesting conundrum. I decided to punt. (Or, as Ranger likes to say, I'm a quitter.) Either way, it's fun watching it play out from the sidelines.

Where is all the money of the big character?
everybody say mage team cost less ,where are their money?
they sell their money for usd and after whining about NUB?
shameless

QBRanger October 2 2005 9:37 PM EDT

Of course the defense for an axbow/BL tank vs mages in Almuric's example above is a large AMF. Just enough to get to melee rounds with your tank intact to kill his/her mage.

Jordan23 October 2 2005 9:47 PM EDT

For my post below.
can someone give me a explaination about, where is the money of the mage (don't need NW) peoples...

CoolWater October 2 2005 11:40 PM EDT

For those mages, they keep their money obviously. Why would they spend it on an Elbow if they don't need one. Or mostly likely enhance their mage gears.

Just take a look at this vet. Why would he need an Elbow?

Or a more extreme one like this. Why need an Elbow if all you need is just a familiar?
