sidebar coolness (in Changelog)

AdminJonathan October 6 2005 4:18 PM EDT

Refresh your sidebar and check it out.

We have Verifex to thank for this new feature. Those of you who have seen his greasemonkey work won't be surprised. Thanks!

Relic October 6 2005 4:19 PM EDT

Nice work Verifex. I like it. :)

AdminShade October 6 2005 4:20 PM EDT

cool!

Synco October 6 2005 4:21 PM EDT

Nice! Thanks, Verifex.

Tezmac October 6 2005 4:25 PM EDT

Hmmm, I'm using IE 6 (yeah yeah, most everyone else does too) and it seems to be working funny for me. Before you ask, yes Ive refreshed the field.

Clicking the new arrow next to "opponents" removes the "Places" toolbar, but not the auctions, buinesses, home, and train links below it.

Clicking the new arrows next to "Places" removes the "Tools" toolbar, but not the links in its section.

Clicking the "Forums" arrow removes the "Active Threads" link (which I think is the intended behavior).

Clicking the "Stats" arrow does absolutely nothing.

Ilovehellokitty October 6 2005 4:26 PM EDT

the line "wiki |help|......Logout" is still too long :)
the lower part is wonderful

Fantasysage October 6 2005 4:26 PM EDT

oooh cool stuff im diggin it.

chappy [Soup Ream] October 6 2005 4:31 PM EDT

mine does what Tezmac's does ... IE im assuming??

Tezmac October 6 2005 4:31 PM EDT

Ah, and I meant to add clicking the "Tools" arrow removes both the Formus toolbar and the active thread links. Maybe its just me....

Adrian Exodus October 6 2005 4:32 PM EDT

ie 6 here too.

clicking, opponents removes places bar from the screen and merges the fields links, places removes tools, tools removes forums, forums seems to work, stats just says error on page when i click it,

Tezmac October 6 2005 4:32 PM EDT

Formus=Forums, we IE users can't spell either...

AdminJonathan October 6 2005 4:33 PM EDT

IE is borked, all right.

Sorry, we forgot people still use that. (What are you thinking? :)

Relic October 6 2005 4:34 PM EDT

So, use Firefox :P

AdminLamuness October 6 2005 4:35 PM EDT

Ah, your typical collapse/uncollapse.
Just as kitty says, the line with the "Wiki | ... " shifts but only when I collapse/uncollapse Opponents. But other than that, it's fine.

Adrian Exodus October 6 2005 4:35 PM EDT

:P i prefer ie and the tweeks i made to it for playing cb, i use opera for general surfing and firefox for secure stuff,

chappy [Soup Ream] October 6 2005 4:36 PM EDT

I use firefox at home, but here at work im limited to what I can download and install :( ... IE is only choice here

Tezmac October 6 2005 4:38 PM EDT

Also, as we have these collapsible toolbars now (well, some of us do :O) ) any chance of going back to the old CB1 way of keeping the top 5 Forum posts active under the forum link?

Adrian Exodus October 6 2005 4:42 PM EDT

for me the side bar doesn't even go down 30% of its page so I'm not really seeing the need for this, so maybe we could have an option to turn it off in settings...cause in its borked state its just one more thing for me to miss click.

Tezmac October 6 2005 4:44 PM EDT

My guess is that this addon is for the PDA/Phone websurfers, not for us at a desktop/laptop users.

{CB3}-HR22 October 6 2005 4:54 PM EDT

my arrow on the stats bar does not work.
using IE when i click it nothing happens

AdminJonathan October 6 2005 4:55 PM EDT

someone's putting the L in Luser

Inferno October 6 2005 4:56 PM EDT

LOL Nice Jon

AdminShade October 6 2005 4:58 PM EDT

Kitty & Lamuness:

that is because you have a long opponent name in your fight list, i have the same

[EG] Almuric October 6 2005 5:07 PM EDT

Yeah, if Black Card Situation would just change his name to something shorter, my whole life would be hunky-dory.

{CB3}-HR22 October 6 2005 5:11 PM EDT

im not sure what is going on, but what is this change doing?
I dont see the point to it. Unless IE is really screwing it up.

AdminG Beee October 6 2005 5:11 PM EDT

If you do decide to go back to the CB1 way with the 5 most recent forum posts in the list showing (no need for this imo) please also keep the active threads link as an option as I prefer it.

Also - I use IE and I like it :p

I also like older cars, good old fashioned food and older women :p

AdminJonathan October 6 2005 5:13 PM EDT

works in IE now

Adrian Exodus October 6 2005 5:17 PM EDT

yep ty jon

Tezmac October 6 2005 5:18 PM EDT

A big thank you from us IE-using primates. :O)

AdminQBVerifex October 6 2005 5:21 PM EDT

Firefox seems to add extra parentNodes to its tables, IE doesn't do this, not sure what the reason is for that.

Special J October 6 2005 5:25 PM EDT

well fix it for IE, or take it away :(

stupid script errors

Line 4
Char 3
Object Required

Edit : Fixed before I posted, but I just forgot to refresh the page to load the new one, I as well am adding the L to user today. ;)

AdminJonathan October 6 2005 5:29 PM EDT

it's been fixed for 20 minutes now, even in IE

refresh if you haven't

if you're using IE-earlier-than-6.0, it's time to upgrade.

Grim Reaper October 6 2005 5:41 PM EDT

I was wondering what the arrows were there for.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] October 6 2005 6:21 PM EDT

Ook Ook!

WooT!

:D

[CB1]moniker October 6 2005 6:24 PM EDT

Jon, I keep clicking and clicking on the arrows, and it still doesn't give me a free Cloak of the Istari. Am I doing it wrong?

Eorlas October 6 2005 6:26 PM EDT

I love it great job! Could there possibly be a master tab thing that closes them all at once?

Stephen October 6 2005 6:41 PM EDT

Yep, that nice change should draw attention away from the NUB discussion.

{CB1ate}aupStar October 6 2005 10:24 PM EDT

me likes it a loot....^_^

csraven October 7 2005 1:28 AM EDT

wow thats an awsome change...

matteo48 October 7 2005 10:27 AM EDT

This is a very good change

iBananco [Blue Army] October 8 2005 4:11 AM EDT

This change is the best thing since bread, sliced or unsliced.

RedWolf October 8 2005 3:32 PM EDT

i love it, no more shrinking/resizing the chat box to get to what i want :-) thanks Verifex and Jon

PS - yes, i have a small resolution :-P
