Sir Leon [Soup Ream] October 11 2005 10:58 AM EDT

me and slothoz are playing at school. We arent multiing at all.No transfers will be made at school. However when we are at home we might.

just want to make it clear we arent multiing lol

CoolWater October 11 2005 11:40 AM EDT

I'm trying to understand your statement above. Are you saying you might make transfer if both of you playing at home?
If that's the case that would still be multi.

Special J October 11 2005 11:44 AM EDT

Not if they are not one sided transfers, as in paying market price.

AdminShade October 11 2005 2:26 PM EDT

just don't help each other at all...

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] October 11 2005 4:09 PM EDT

If you share IP somehwhere dont transfer two that account any way, even if its two different IPs at the time

AngryZac October 11 2005 4:55 PM EDT

Maybe I'm confused, but I thought if it's two seperate people they can make deals amongst each other. I know transfers from husband-wife tandoms were never frowned apon in CB1 just because they shared the same IP, has this suddenly become taboo in CB2, or is this just because people don't want to believe Sir Leon?

bartjan October 11 2005 5:08 PM EDT

They are not taboo. It's just a matter of how strongly you want to avoid a lynch mob at all cost...

AdminShade October 11 2005 5:34 PM EDT

AngryZac,

it isnt a taboo indeed, but how would you think people would react to see many transfers from 2 accounts, on different IP addresses (being from 2 people at home) and also recordings of items being bought (ammo) on 1 IP address (being school)

I know, out of experience, that even this will trigger some kind of reacions into being suspicious for being a multi...

CoolWater October 11 2005 6:20 PM EDT

I asked this question in another thread but didn't get a reply.

If I buy a DB at 2 mil and later sell it to a friend on the same IP for 1 mil, is this legal?

Caedmon [Revenge of the Forgers] October 11 2005 6:30 PM EDT

If the market value of the DBs at the time of your "sale" is 1 mil, then you're fine. If it's still 2 mil, people probably will ask questions.

AdminG Beee October 11 2005 6:32 PM EDT

Of course it's legal coolwater - just don't be surprised if one of the admins jumps on your head and bans your multi - erm, brothers / friends / aunts / uncles / neighbours account.

Try and help us out by keeping it simple - if you're on the same IP and there's suspicious transfers then you're gonna appear on the radar. If you're on the radar - watch out, 'coz friendly fire is a bummer :p

CoolWater October 11 2005 6:36 PM EDT

G, the reason I'm asking is because I've seen someone did it. And I wasn't sure if that was legal.

AdminG Beee October 11 2005 6:38 PM EDT

If you have any suspicions regarding multi activity make a post in PR and an admin will look at it.

Always better to post, but if you don't want to then you can always CM me the details.

Special J October 11 2005 6:41 PM EDT

In the end it doesn't really matter what other players say, it comes to the admins and we are much more level headed..than say, another multi pointing you out.
