Clan Questions from the NUB! (in General)
Okay, so as we all know by now, if you've read that really long thread we had before, I'm full of questions. Now for some new ones.
First off, what are the benefits of being in a Clan? I looked over the Clan page and couldn't really see anything that was a serious bonus although being able to vote looks like fun.
Secondly, what are the drawback to being part of a Clan? For instance, do some require you to participate in "Wars" between other Clans or no?
Okay, thats all for now but I know I'll think up more after a while.
Anyways, later guys, girls and admins.
There are two types of clans, I don't know enough about Economics clans, but never really seen their worth..
Normal Clans;
Benefits are Clan bonus. Top 15 (+) clans get bonuses to xp and cash rewards from fighting. Also one clan randomly get's a 7% bonus every now and again. Can also be very cool social groups! ;)
Drawbacks are Clan members get farmed more than normal folk. Some clans can place limitations on thier memebrs. Have to make so many Clan points per day, can't fight members form X clan and so on.

economic clans: not very usefull unless you turn a big revenue... i know the transfer feeshave been reduced between members and forging costs are reduced as far as cash goes... in my opinion, only large, (300K MPR and higher), chars who just want to chill and enjoy slightly cheaper game play should be in economic clans... in other words, only people who like doing forge jobs for people, or other buy / sell operations...

draw backs to econ clans: no bonuses for fighting...

Econ clan benefit #1: 5% discount in forging fees. That alone is priceless.

You mean a 25% discount in forging fees
Not a Clan question but its my thread and I'm allowed to take it off topic.
Anyways, I keep on getting beat by people using tanks and its really starting to get on my nerves. I don't wanna give up my mage so is there any way I can boost my mage or a good second minion I should start working on? Thanks for the help in advance guys. Talk to you later.

Get a ToE, it'll reduce the amount of damage you take.

Getting farmed is not a drawback. It goes in the pro section in my opinion.

It's 20% BS fees, if you're in an econ, it's 15% fees. So it's a 25% discount from regular BS fees.
Are the tanks much bigger than yourself? Try pumping your FB for a while, it will help if you can kill people off in ranged. Your FB won't do 'friendly' splash and you won't have to face the now overpowered BL.

I hate clans and think they are stupid.
You can CM me if you would like my take on it. Everyone else likely grows tired of my insane ramblings. *smile*
But you should really join one. Hey, free experience!
Its not that the tanks are that much more powerful than my FF Mage, its just that they seem to be walking all over me because there are two, or in one case three, of them just beating me senseless.

Silvarian, the tanks are killing you because you have very little defense against weapons. Your AMF helps in blocking spells, but your armour does very little to help you.
As I told you in my post above, and as I told in your previous thread, you need to buy a ToE if you want to reduce the amount of damage you take. Save up about 200k $cb2, and you should be able to buy one.
Yeah but then I have to give up my familiar and while it doesn't do much damage, its a nice little toy.

The alternative would be to train more HP, and get a higher level non-lesser FF.
I made a dumb mistake and untrained my HP to boost FB. Stuck reboosting HP and I plan on at least doubling it so that I don't die so easily. FB takes the back burner for a while.
Another question. Would having atleast twice the amount of HP versus FB experience be something smart? Its what I currently aiming for.
The standard advice given by the vets is 1 HP to 3 FB. So training 1/4 HP and Max FB is the "optimal" mix.

2 HP to 3 FB sounds like a better ratio to me.
Okay, so since my HP is much higher than my FB, should I lay off of it for a while and boost FB?

do both at once, train 1/4 HP, and Max FB
