Wiki edit by newbie? (in General)

I don't think someone who is a member of Carnage Blender 2 since October 13, 2005 should edit the wiki like this?

On the other hand I don't know much of wiki-editing, so I don't know if or what he changed at all.

Looks to me like all he did was pretty much just re-worded a few things and capitalized them as well.

AdminShade October 16 2005 7:01 AM EDT

He added some things and fixed some typo's perhaps, I see nothing too wrong with it... yet

I don't mind someone new coming and lending a hand, but is it quite necessary to have all of that on the main wiki page? I mean, I was told from some veterans that 1/2/3/4 minion strategies weren't even that important, and not exactly how all strategies are based around. So I think just a general page explaining all the different categories of strategies is a pretty sound idea.

I got some complaints from people who never checked to see what I edited, I just rearranged some things and edited keywords to make it easier to navigate.

Its a promise I never did anything negative to Wiki if anyone thinks I did something malicious.

Any registered person can edit the wiki. All changed are recorded so dumb edits can be backed out.

That's the whole point of a wiki.

Stryfe, my point was that someone who is a member for 3 days probably don't know enough of the game.
I see nothing wrong if you keep it at fixing typos and things like this, though.

There is nothing wrong with him editing.

As it has been said before, that is why the wiki exists, if we thought new users should not be able to edit it, we could set it up as such. Edits are logged and the prior pages are saved, if someone goofs it up (it has happened several times) it can be reverted.

A new player wants to clean up the wiki? Great! Let him do the hard work! ;)

The way I see it, the wiki is primarily meant to help new players learn about the game, so maybe a new player would do the best job of organizing the material so that it is most easily understood.

And sure, older players use the wiki too, but we (hopefully!) know how the game works, and where to find the info we want.

You're right Maelstrom. I have to admit I haven't looked at it this way. :)
