why wont my computer let me change my active charector?? help please (in General)

Everytime I try to change my charector to mikkell it just changes back to heavenly sins i really dont get why.

Because you don't have the money to pay for the name change.

it costs money to change your characters name not change active characters. it would really help if we knew what browser you use as some are not cb2 compatible.

well honestly i dont know but i've been playing for awhile now and never had a problem till a couple of days ago.

Oh, sorry I misread your post as you were trying to change the name of your character.


Change the character, then refresh the side bar (right click : refresh with IE. Right click -> this frame -> reload this frame for Firefox).


If you are not using one of these browsers, please tell me which one you are using.

how do i know which browser i am using

First try click the "refresh" link in the left sidebar.
If that doesn't work, then click "logout" in the sidebar. Then sign back in.
If that doesn't work then we'll think of something else.

To find out the browser you use, click the help menu and choose "about".

When starting your internet session...
If you click the blue E, you use Internet Explorer
If you click the Orange swirl around the blue dot, you use Firefox
If you click the red O, you use Opera
If you click the blue M, then you use Mozilla
If you click the Godzilla head, you're using an old version of mozilla

AOL does not work with the new change. Your only option is to switch or pay Jon to fix it. I have the same problem with my other computer which i use at night and on most weekends and fight about 15% of my battles with, i guess thats over with.

how much would i have to pay john to fix it.

why did john make it so that aol doesnt work he is going to lose a bunch of his players now... Somebody should start a petition and show it to john then he could make aol work again.

If you were using an unsupported browser you were taking your chances as to when something would break it. Looks like luck ran out for AOLbrowser users.

(You could probably upgrade your AOL since it's basically just embedded IE. But I'm not going to install AOL to test it, that's for sure.)

Dude, I know it's no help, but HS seems to be your main character. You really don't need any extra characters and should focus on building your main.

You can still play. It might suck if you had items stored on your other two characters, but maybe an admin could help you move them.

Yes, unless you are willing to upgrade to a new standard following browser, then you are done.

There are so many browsers out there, only a SMALL handful follow the "rules", AOL's browser is one of those who most certainly does not. When it was based on IE at least there was hope for it, but now it isn't even based on IE.

The web is not going to wait around for everyone to decide to let the old go and move onto the new and correctly working technology.
If your mom refuses to upgrade then I am sorry, but this site is not going backwards to support you.

The IE issue with cookies and BA purchasing is a total different problem, and will be fixed when it can be figured out. Since as Jon said before, IE may not follow rules but the sheep of the internet still swear by it.

When you switch characters, your browser SHOULD understand the httpXML request (AJAX), but sadly it does not and this is the whole problem with your outdated browser.

I still do not understand why your mom would not want Firefox installed on the computer when it is safer and much more reliable than the browser you are using now. You folks do own a color TV right? Just because they still sell Black & White doesn't mean you should still use it ;)

I tried to download firefox and it kinda did not work. a thing would pop up then i clicked and nothing happened

I'm still using AOL and haven't encountered any problems yet, but that's only because I hired Crackmonkey's hacker friend to change a few lines of Jon's code for me. I guess other AOL users are out of luck until they contact Crackmonkey's hacker friend, bow before him as a supreme hacker and coder, and ...cough, cough, ack, cough, choke, wheeze.

Sorry, I thought I could say all of that with a straight face. The first ten words are true, but I don't know why. :-)
