max pr for clan (in General)

Biscuitback October 30 2005 3:25 AM EST

i've seen a few about these posts in the past.
but i still don't get it.. it tells you the max pr you can accept in a clan blah blah blah....

would it be easier if it was just the max mpr you can accept in a clan?

i'm sure it's done this way for a reason, but i just don't understand why.
i bet at least 85% of the people in charge of clans really don't know how much they can really accept, and believe me i'm in the 85% range.
is there an easier way?

go ahead and flame :)

Biscuitback October 30 2005 1:28 PM EST

what... no flames?

AdminShade October 30 2005 1:39 PM EST

that max pr is the max mpr i believe, the acronym just didn't get changed (yet)

Biscuitback October 30 2005 1:46 PM EST

well i've been talking to MM about this, he know alot more about it than i do... it's PR, but it's not linear. like right now i can accept max pr of 15 mil...means i can accept 1 person at 15 mil pr, but not 2 at 7.5 mil pr... i'm sorry but to me the system doesn't make sense.

there needs to be an easier way, and i don't see why we can't have this alot easier than it is.

no it is really VPR i believe shade

Biscuitback October 30 2005 2:04 PM EST

isn't vpr now mpr, with that one change? i mean unused xp is now calculated in mpr i think... oh well, either way, i still don't like the setup

AdminShade October 30 2005 2:06 PM EST

vpr is used for calculating fight rewards.

mpr is used for calculating clan allowance.

Click for changelog about vpr.

also, it can't be PR since i tested by unequipping my entire character a while ago, and it didnt make any difference for the clan allowance.

note with that, that I have above 20% of the NW of the entire clan, though most of my NW is based on my weapons (which are exempted from adding PR) though i have a big Tattoo that should count a lot to the clan allowance IF it would be based on PR...

AdminShade October 30 2005 2:24 PM EST

so either it is based on MPR or it is based on VPR...

total experience earned works out to be sort of the same thing as virtual pr

and

mpr = trained experience + untrained experience (if i'm correct)

so both vpr and mpr are 'almost' similar...

Special J October 30 2005 2:28 PM EST

VPR is trained and untrained XP, sight unseen used to figure rewards.

MPR is trained XP only.

Well 1 person at 15mil PR cannot make as much as 2 people at 7.5mil PR, that is why it is not linear.

AdminShade October 30 2005 3:05 PM EST

cannot make as much?

clan pr allowance calculation is based on the top 5 characters... and isn't a linear calculation, every character takes away more space than just the 'mpr' or 'vpr' of that character.

AdminShade October 30 2005 3:06 PM EST

mrwuss, if that is correct then it IS based on vpr, because when a player fights but does not train, i tried this, the clan allowance goes down.

I tested this a long time ago but it still applies :)

bartjan October 30 2005 3:25 PM EST

It always used to be based on the top 4 characters, and yes it's all about VPR, not MPR or PR. VPR should be the same as MPR, when you have trained all your XP.

AdminShade October 30 2005 3:47 PM EST

top 4 then :) and indeed vpr = mpr when trained ALL experience, so true

Special J October 30 2005 3:55 PM EST

Which is what I said Shade ;)

Have a little faith my friend.

I'm only confirming it for myself, so more credits for you ;)
