Once you get to +11 on a pair of Helm's, the Blacksmith fees skyrocket. Has anyone had any experience forging them?
I see a lot of forgers say "no headgear", which I assume is because they are difficult and time consuming - are Helm's the same way?
Yes, typically low AC items are very expensive to upgrade beyond the first few points.
Headgear, gloves and cloaks are generally the hardest to forge because of thiis.

Every item has its own blacksmith upgrade prices, and the higher you try to forge or blacksmith an item, the higher its costs will be.
apparently for Helm's Gauntlets it happens from +10 to +11
