More clan stats (in Changelog)

AdminJonathan November 7 2005 1:57 PM EST

Dolphin has added "real score" to the stats tracked. (For performance reasons this data will only be tracked for 30 days.)

Since this depends on data not collected until now, Real Score will start out as the raw clan points earned, and slowly diverge as the data comes in.

(Real Score includes CP lost, as well as earned.)

AdminShade November 7 2005 1:58 PM EST

wow, cool stat.

Tezmac November 7 2005 2:05 PM EST

Very slick!

Maelstrom November 7 2005 2:10 PM EST

Nice! Will this be added to the User/Clan Stats page?

AdminShade November 7 2005 2:17 PM EST

even cooler: when a player isnt fighting but other people lose against the user, you can even see that now :D

{CB3}-HR22 November 7 2005 2:37 PM EST

sweet

NSFY November 7 2005 2:43 PM EST

Where was Dolphin two years ago? :p

AdminJonathan November 7 2005 2:48 PM EST

currently, the plan is it won't be added to user/clan stats because we keep the stats around for a relatively short amount of time

Maelstrom November 7 2005 3:07 PM EST

Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] November 7 2005 3:08 PM EST

So this is "net score" per member?

Relic November 7 2005 3:14 PM EST

Very nice change Dolphin.

Dolphin November 7 2005 3:25 PM EST

Thanks to everybody and thanks to Jonathan for allowing me to put new code to this great game.

Bast, yes it's net score.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] November 7 2005 6:17 PM EST

Dolphin put a load of work into the Clan stats information, it's brilliant he's been able to add some to the game! :D

Stephen Young November 7 2005 7:27 PM EST

I think it would make more sense if it was renamed to Net Score instead of the current Real Score.

Synco November 7 2005 8:27 PM EST

Awesome change! ;)

Adrian Exodus November 7 2005 8:30 PM EST

yay another fors got put into the game :D

and while where at it how about thinking about clan memo pad...

Inferno November 7 2005 8:42 PM EST

So this is are points adding being attacked and the lose of some?

Quark November 7 2005 11:41 PM EST

Awesome!

Wonderpuff November 8 2005 12:32 AM EST

Dolphin is the man! Er... Fish!

Adrian Exodus November 9 2005 12:21 AM EST

bug?

tach just joined my clan at 12:12 and fought like 8 battles all but one a win i think, but the real score shows Tach -133

skurj November 9 2005 12:22 AM EST

yep, he is getting farmed.

Adrian Exodus November 9 2005 12:25 AM EST

nope no he's not his clan char has now only been hit 4 times so 8 points

Special J November 9 2005 12:25 AM EST

Fighting him still results in a loss of points for your clan even if he does not have the points to lose, thus the negative.

QBOddBird November 9 2005 12:26 AM EST

I like it. Huzzah!

Adrian Exodus November 9 2005 12:31 AM EST

so to make it clear: Tach The Muffin Man (19,419) 12:12 AM EST

has fought 13 times, 1 draw, 3 losses and has been attacked 4 times all losses =? Tach -137

Gilgamesh2090 [NCB Shop] November 9 2005 12:46 AM EST

I think the real points are calculated by taking your gross CP you make and subtracting X amount where X is the amount of clan points people have made off fighting you. The difference in The CP and Real CP the more that person is getting farmed and the less they are contributing to the overall effective clan points

Dolphin November 9 2005 3:27 AM EST

I will look it, but I think all it's ok.

The sum of the Real Scores should result in the raw score of the clan. It can be a little different because the different time the raw score and the real scores are update.

Post here if you detect a clear different between "raw score" and sum of "real scores"

Remember:

"If you beat another Clan Character in a battle, your Clan gets 2 points and his Clan loses 1 point. (3 points and -2 points when you beat a Character whose Clan is receiving a rank-based bonus.) Draws or stalemates result in no clan points."

AdminShade November 9 2005 4:20 AM EST

addition: and 1 point for each character not in a clan :)

Dolphin November 9 2005 4:37 AM EST

You are right, Shade :-)

Dolphin November 9 2005 4:41 AM EST

making clear:

you earn 1 point for each character not in a clan but you don't lose anything when you are the loser.

AdminJonathan November 9 2005 9:24 AM EST

right, so it's still not clear to me how someone who fought 13 battles since joining the clan could be over 100 points negative.

Stephen Young November 10 2005 6:48 AM EST

Sounds like the code used to calculate the Real Score is measuring battles fought before joining the clan? (as in, it doesn't take into account the fact the some previous battles were pre-clan-related)

Stephen November 19 2005 1:35 AM EST

Yep, I literally just joined a clan, fought a set of BA, bought some and now have a 1 week clan score of -602 , and 30 day clan score of -3,547

Phrede November 19 2005 5:20 AM EST

well fight more then :) (hi old clan buddy)

Dolphin November 20 2005 7:21 PM EST

Stephen, You belong to another clan before you join "the auposition" The losts against another clan computes in the new clan, you must wait 1day in the new clan in order the stats are accurate, the same 1week and 1 month.

Stephen November 20 2005 10:19 PM EST

So there is no way to reset the real clan points when I join a new clan? It seems a fudge to have to wait a week or 30 days until the information is more than meaningless.

Special J November 20 2005 10:53 PM EST

Not for those of us who do not jump around clans.

Stephen November 20 2005 11:03 PM EST

Well for me it's a case of old clan collapsing and being autoretired, and then my having to find a new one. Maybe, I should be more selective!

Special J November 20 2005 11:05 PM EST

things happen, but information is stored the way it is stored.

Just like your income from transfers stay with your character and leave your clan when in an econ.
