If you happen to know about a bug, then exploiting it is just about the worst thing you could do.
This has triggered rollbacks and rescales in the past, seriously upsetting a lot of people, including those who just obey the rules.
Testing the bug, before you report it to Jonathan, is OK, but triggering it for any other reason is not.
There's no need to discuss the bug here, as Jonathan has been alerted about it, and it would only give other people (who failed to read the above and/or use their brain cell(s)) ideas.

how much?
from just the things you got while exploiting to every thing including a reset/ban.
and how you judge the punishment?
from what i've seen its based on the severity of it, how it effects other players, and a plethora of other things.
smartest thing is to not even think about exploiting and to report it when you first notice.

why ask questions about things you don't need to know because trying out is illegal anyway?
the height of fining or reset or banning is looked on a case by case basis, some people that used an exploit just get fined whatever they would have made from it + some to learn not to do it again, others get fined more because the greatness of the exploit is bigger.
