Hi I am new to CB2 and have a couple questions.
I plan on having a tank and a mage. What are the best skills to raise for these templates? Also what direct damage spell is the best?
Any advice is much appreciated
Those are some vague questions ... have you read through the wiki at all? It can answer a lot of new player questions ... You should read most of it so you're not lost

One thing to do is to look under Stats---Characters----Standings.
Check out the 2 minion teams. Also at the top check Gondor realm so as to see all characters and not just the lower level ones.
View the top characters to see what strategies they use.
