Snowed in (in Off-topic)

Well, here I am, still in the office at 7:45pm. Not because I'm swamped with work (well, I am), but because there is so much snow between the office and my home 10 miles away, that there is no public transport, and driving this distance by car (if I can get someone crazy enough to give me a lift) would have taken about 4 hours during daylight.

So I think I'll have to find some place to sleep in this building and see if there's some transport that works, tomorrow ;)

Never thought I would see weather this bad in my country....

The Netherlands. I live in Enschede, but am stuck in Oldenzaal...

Ah yes, the Netherlands. Lots of snow in the mountains there ;)

In my little corner of the world, that happens at least once every winter, and a couple of times a year for the last several (referring to snowfall measured in feet, not inches) :P
I've driven 4-wheel drive vehicles for years, so I'm usually the one getting my co-workers home when it happens...

I've traveled from Amsterdam to Veghel this afternoon, and only had half an hour delay because of the weather. Another half hour later, everything was messed up and now thousands of people are stuck in Utrecht. Lucky me :p

But, I hope you can leave for home soon too, Zenmaster! Although this storm isn't going to clear till tomorrow evening... :S

I am still at home, lots of snow (yes another Dutch person) going to a friend now who lives 1 km further away from me, all by foot :)

I'm stuck with 3 coworkers. Good thing about this company is that the boss lives in the same building/house, so it's not all office ;)

bartjan you had power failure there to in Holland? cuz last night the power went down over 3 times in some parts of Belgium and in my town too

Several towns nearby are without power for the second night right now. They decided to call in the army for help, as the power company did not live up to the promise to fix it before this evening...

I'm still waiting for the first decent snowstorm of the season.
