Major chat problems (in General)

ok.. here's the problem.. everytime i log on to cb now it says in the chat applet:

Chat Blender 3.1.7 starting...
-- /alreadyon
Error: Access denied.

it does not have anything to do with my computer, as it worked all the time since 3 days ago.. and i also tried it on tyra's comp to see if it would work there, and it doesn't.. he opened his account on his comp and his chat works just fine, tho it is on the same comp (btw.. we are NOT a multi, we just happen to be going out since like 2 weeks ago and i've been at his place alot >.< so plz no more accusations about that.. there have not been any one-way-transfers or other suspicious things..but that's not a subject of this post i guess lol).. now i'm wondering what this could be.. did i get banned from chat (i wouldn't know what for as i don't remember doin anything wrong in chat) or what else could this be? plz help me with this.. as i really miss chat and all the ppl :( thx

1) Your pc Firewall
or
2) Your proxy server's Firewall

but it didn't work on the other comp with a different firewall either.. tho chat worked on tyra's account when he opened his on the same comp ??? dun think it is the firewall in this case..

I just tried to pm you and it didn't tell me that you are not online. I don't know what this could mean, but it might help.

It may also help to delete your cookies.

nope.. not the cookies either :( that you can still pm me is quite interesting tho.. anybody else any suggestions?

on his pc:

your account doesn't work with chat
his account DOES work with chat...


tried using his account on your pc? (yes this involves him going to your place)

still strange that you cant get in chat on his pc though, trying a /kill (60 minutes no chat for you) perhaps that triggers something

yea it might.. no i didn't try using his account on my comp yet.. he'll get here next time on wednesday.. if it still isn't fixed then i guess i'll try that then.. but maybe the /kill will change something..

if i was banned from chat.. would i be banned from forums as well?.. but i would be renamed ApocalypseAngel!48 then, right? (besides i did not do anything bad in chat.. never did..) and you (Shade) would prolly know about that i guess..

I had this happen to me, a /kill fixed it

I did a /kill for you as that seems to be the fix for the issue. Try again in an hour.

I already had killed you, which doesn't make you banned from forum, neither would it give you a 48! (which is done by a renaming by a full admin)

however it doesn't seem to have solved it i think...

nope it still don't works.. i also talked to bart about it.. he said the chat server probably would have to be rebooted >.<

well, tyra was at my place yesterday and we tried opening his account on my comp and everything worked just fine for him, tho my chat is still broken.. dun think that helps anything to solve the problem either.. only one that might be able to fix it would be jonathan i guess..

so in summary:

your account on your PC => chat is broken
your account on his PC => chat is broken

his account on his PC => chat works normally
his account on your PC => chat works normally also.

This makes me think your account is somehow broken, to the part that the server can't get you in...

Perhaps a rename of your username could help, try contacting G_Beee about that, and it is possible to have your name be the same as the one you have now.

Hope this can help a bit, otherwise I am clueless...

same problem, after about 3 days it went away.

so it just went away without you doing anything? so there is no real fix to this.. i'll just have to wait? but on the other hand.. it's broken since sunday.. which was 5 days ago..

yay! G Beee renamed me last night and now chat is working fine again.. thank you to G Beee :P and Shade and everyone else that tried to help me with this
