OP privilege abuse (in Public Record)

the only reason i am posting this is because i feel that Verifex has abused his OP privilege, and not to be a pain in the butt. I was in the new players chat room, and so i said "w00h! im downloading unreal tournament at 50kb/sec!" and then verifex killed me without even telling me "you cant say anything about downloading," he didn't kick me, it was just a flat out kill. I could have been downloading the shareware demo, or i could have downloaded it after purchasing it online, because i dont feel like waiting a week or two to get it in the mail, and a /kill for the first offense is extremely harsh in my opinion. Im not suggesting that you remove verifex's OP status or anything, i just want him to know that he should at least tell someone what rule they broke, not to do it again, and then kick (if necessary) for the first or second offense. but repeated behavior should result in a /kill. For example: If i had said something like "oh im illegally downloading unreal tournament" multiple times and told people how to do it, then yeah, i should be /killed.... but come on, a /kill out of the blue for saying your downloading something is just wrong.

who said im whining? i just want him told that he should consider taking reasonable actions before a /kill. and you know what? if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all.

1: stop whining
2: you accepted the terms of use
3: you had been kicked before so a /kill isn't that much of abuse.

4 but a tad off topic: there is no way you can download Unreal Tournament legally because they only distribute it by CDs

Listen, Admin > you. Everytime. Don't argue, don't complain, don't suggest.

If you get kicked, he had his reason, come back, apoligize, deal. If you get /killed, same thing. Deal. Figure out what you did wrong (Not demand a reason, figure out.) and don't do it again.

This community loves its ops, we are completely faithful in them. If you have a problem with one of them, save one case ever, it means you will eventually be banned.

my point exactly. there is a lack of respect on CB, people being harshly punished for stupid reasons (like banned for complaining....) and I'm fed up with it. the reason i quit runescape was because the community was horrible, and im really starting to think the same thing about CB.... sure there are some cool guys that are fun to talk with, but its not worth it to get insulted all the time by random people.
oh and as a matter of fact, you can purchase games online (UT) and download them if you dont care about the box, manual, etc.

i still don't know why i was forum banned BUT i am not risking to find out either.

i LOVE the cb2 community and i have found it to be incredibly welcoming. i think there are a couple of people whose sarcastic comments, if taken to much to heart, might seem sucky, but generally, everybody is so much fun :)

yeah there are a lot of fun people, but then again, there are a lot of mean people (especially a bunch of the newbies....) that are just disrespectful and stuff.
