Can we have an un-blacksmithing feature? (in General)

Quark December 8 2005 10:55 AM EST

So that we can remove enchantments from gear and get something like 50-60% of the upgrade cost back? I'd like to dial down a couple of gears a few points, but the insta market is pretty dry.

WeaponX December 8 2005 10:57 AM EST

this has been suggested a few hundred times. i don't think Jon likes it

Tezmac December 8 2005 10:58 AM EST

Why don't you CM me what you want to insta down, and if I need it I'll take it at 65%? :O)

This has been requested so much that I can't believe it's not in the FORS list yet.

Quark December 8 2005 11:16 AM EST

Given the recent clamp down on unequipping, I think it would be nice to have to allow folks to reclaim their old gear that is just too big.

Relic December 8 2005 11:21 AM EST

I completely agree. This would be a great feature.

AdminShade December 8 2005 11:22 AM EST

Just insta down for that rate?

I'm sure that there are people wanting to insta some items up for 50-60%

Quark December 8 2005 11:49 AM EST

Fair enough.

undo of blacksmith should return no money :) Now that's the real price to pay

Dignifried Bean [|Cheese It|] December 8 2005 1:02 PM EST

You can always sell to the store for about 10% and buy a base replacement. (ouch, I'm on fire already!)

Sukotto [lookingglas] December 8 2005 4:27 PM EST

Perhaps it's not on the FORS list because it's actually not a bad idea. It just doesn't seem to be a priority for Jon. If people want it that badly, you can always bribe him.

Hyrule Castle December 8 2005 6:53 PM EST

how about this... you guys just give away your items, to someone less fortunate... like... i dont know... for example .... me? lol, there are some items im lookin to buy, for dirt cheap :D

hijack the thread , castle...

Maelstrom December 8 2005 8:45 PM EST

Doing an insta deal would be far more "efficient". Instead of wasting the money you've spent on the item by simply cutting it down, make a deal with someone else. If you're really desperate to get smaller items, trade it outright for a lower one, and let someone pay you with a pay plan.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] December 8 2005 8:47 PM EST

I don't know about you Mael, but I haven't seen a lot of positive action in the insta dept...why pay 60% of NW, when someone is more than likely gonna end up having to sell outright for less than half NW...
