Clan PR(?) MPR(?) Random Number (?) limit? (in General)

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 9 2005 1:33 AM EST

A chain of events:

The max PR you can accept is 836,884.
I tell a prospective Llama he shan't fit, but he could "try" anyway.
Score / PR / MPR: 1,342,387 / 907,478 / 608,629 (Training Day) is accepted.
The max PR you can accept is 0.

So, the PR I accepted was over the limit but was acceptable anyway. Or the MPR I accepted was well under the limit, but is now precisely _at_ the limit. Or the VMPR (unseen) was magically/exactly the right number. Or something is broken.

Any possibilities I may have missed?

It is VPR that is used. And the clan room is not linear: a 800k room does not mean that 2x 400k chars will fit.

So my guess is that that Llama had a lot of untrained XP, resulting in a VPR relatively close to the 836k space. Because of the nature of the clan space formula, the remaining room is not fully available for the next victim, but much less than that.

That happened a couple of weeks ago with us also. There was about a 30k difference in PR accepted and the applicant, yet they were approved.

Bart: VMPR?

bartjan December 9 2005 2:05 AM EST

What's that?

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 9 2005 2:10 AM EST

Well, if VPR is current PR + untrained XP, and the PR listed was already well over the limit, it would have to be MPR (a visible number) -- but VMPR being trained and untrained XP. From above, "Or the VMPR (unseen) ...."

bartjan December 9 2005 2:12 AM EST

I think you mean VPR, that's the PR calculated from all XP the character has (trained and untrained). A forum search on VMPR only shows up this thread...

If fully trained, then VPR==MPR.

You are allowed to have a total PR over your max but your score then falls below your raw score and affects your clan standing and reward. At least that's what the wiki says.

The PR listed on the clan pages are all old style MPR...

so it is MPR you agree to accept, not fully equipped PR...

so the person in fact was ~230k MPR lower than the PR you could accept, thus making him fit in.

(in other words make jonathan rename the PR to MPR perhaps?)

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 9 2005 7:19 AM EST

Does anyone (not married to him) really make Jonathan do anything? :P

Grant December 9 2005 7:45 AM EST

Matthew and Melissa, but they're unreasonable :)

AdminShade December 9 2005 7:55 AM EST

rephrase: perhaps make a hint to jonathan to hope that he will change that 1 letter ;)

(Matthew)daddy please put MPR there instead of PR, the people playing your game will understand it then, i think ^_^
