A Tattoo of Balrog Flame question (in General)

Hi, i'm just trying to use a ToBF,

the wiki sais it gives resistance against fire ..

Well, it does against opponents fire, but not against my own ..

Example:

Opponent casts Antimagic Field and Guardian Angel

My Minion with ToBF fires Fireball
-> my minion takes damage from his own fireball (due to AMF)
-> guardian angel smotes back on my minion (du to GA)

Opponent fires Fireball:
-> my minion takes no damage

And this whereas my fireball is nearly base and the opponents one is really big ..

So is this as it is intended to be with ToBF (and the wiki lacks this information) or is something else wrong? (I also thought that GA damage type is the same as that for which GA is retaliating.. so it still should be fire, right? then my ToBF should reduce it..)

thanks for your help!

Only the ToE protects you against AMF backlash. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong...)

GA damage is GA damage not FB damage. You're being hit by the Guardian Angel not by your fire.... which means the TOBF has nothing to defend against

You are correct that GA damage is treated as the type of damage it is retaliating for, however the only distinction made is between physical or magic damage.
