A quick wiki question. (in General)

Just posting here to make sure before I do anything.

I've got some time off work coming up and I'm thinking maybe spending a little bit of it on writing an advanced CB strategy guide for the wiki.

Seeing as it's not really a "How to get to the top" or "Single FB Mage" but more important CB strategy tactics. I'm wondering if it would still fit in the "User Strategies" section, if not, where would something like this go?

Also any other wiki rules (if there are any) may be something worth explaining to me (no guarantees I wont break them anyway though ;P).

Well, you should read the wiki rules when editing a page.

And about your CB strategy tactics, perhaps tell something more about them, but i'm sure they fit into the user strategy section, which should have a complete makeover anyway due to 4000+ possible combinations of strategies.

I'm pretty sure it will fit into user strategies now. But you wanted me to give a better description so here's what I plan to cover:

Advanced Single Minions
Countering Mages.
Countering tanks.
Enchanter Warfare.
Weapons And Armor.
Cone of Cold.
The Meatshield and the Wall.

Half of that will likely be edited out and more will likely be added. But it's a general guideline.

That's a perfect list imo.

What I initially wanted to change about the strategy wiki is not listing the Minion Strategies as they are now but just have a basic and advanced strategy per minion.

Tank
Mage
Enchanter
Monk
Wall
Meat Shield

and so on (just as you could read in my piece of mind)

So then your advanced strategies would fit in perfectly, making a quick basic list of how I'd think it should look: (it being the Game Strategies wiki page)


Basic Minion Strategies:

* Tank
* Monk
* Mage
* Archer
* Enchanter
* Wall

( additionally noting 'Basic' in front of every minion type: i.e. * Basic Tank )

Advanced Minion Strategies:

* Advanced Tank
* Advanced Monk
* Advanced Mage
* Advanced Archer
* Advanced Enchanter
* Advanced Wall

Well, not really.

What I'm planning to write is basically explaining all of these things and how they are best used, and how they fit together.
I think that's a big part of CB, finding all the pieces and sticking them together. By adding categories after categories it looks neater but it may be a step in the wrong direction. Splitting things up that are best kept together isn't ideal.

But that's just me. *shrug*

hmmm, perhaps make it into a basic layout and have us have some communication through email about it. I'm sure we can figure out the best way to implement it into the wiki :)
