Forging observation (in General)

Well not really...but kinda.

The other day in chat a really low MPR player had forged his Rapier and got it up to +6 with one cycle...sold it back to the store and made 4k.

Interested in this...I gave it a whirl...at the time I was over 300k MPR..so I was thinking I could take it higher on a cycle. I forged away and brought it up to +6 just like the other guy. The only difference was...I made less money due to the rewards vs ba invested in the forge.

So...the question. Everybody says not to forge until higher in MPR. Does that only pertain to certain pieces of equipment or all of them?

The way I see it...300k MPR vs his Teens MPR...I should have been able to take it higher.

Anyone have comments on this?

NUB = also forging bonus :)

Which makes the performance higher than a 300k MPR player?

u cant judge the forging of a 300k MPR with a rapier, let him try a few +'s on an MCM or some DB's and you will see where you can make haste he lays to waste :)

both those characters made a +6 increase from 1 single forging cycle. which means they both would make the same progress on any item, no matter how high it would be...



The true issue would be, how high was that players MPR, and what was the NUB bonus.

a 50k MPR NUB character could very well outperform a 300k MPR normal character or at least be on the same level...

Also remember that the forging 'skill' isn't linear, and that 1 mil MPR doesnt forge 2 times as fast as 500k MPR.

The big problem I see here.

If I fight and make 250 per fight with each BA....on a good day :)

He fights and makes 25 per fight with each BA

How can someone make money forging...without the Bonus? I lose money..he makes tons of money.

ok Shade I was just trying to take a stab at it and it made sense to me ..So we can classify this as a CB "X " file..the truth is out there...somewhere :)
