I saw Bowling for Columbine a few years ago when it hit the major theaters. It's really quite funny, but don't forget that the movie is really an opinion piece rather than a documentary. And watch out for the deceptive editing with Charleton Heston's speech.

I agree with IA, Michael Moore makes some fantastic opinion pieces. Really funny/fun stuff.

I liked it when Michael Moore blew himself up in "Team America" :P

The problem is that the "film" was presented to the public as a documentary as was Fahrenheit 9/11. Both utilized creative editing to try to sway public opinion to his disbeliefs.

Neither is a documentary but as stated above an opinion piece by a bitter balding fat man who hates big business and Republicans.

Seeing him with those hot dogs has to be one of the funniest things of 2004.

Yeah, I would have to say the movie is far from a documentary. Here is a nice article that points out several of the deceptions that Moore uses, and the ways he uses film editing to make up reactions and to fabricate his own entertaining political fiction film. Here:

I wonder where I could get my hands on a Team America Michael Moore puppet. No...no...wait...A talking Michael Moore puppet. Oh yeah and some hotdogs....

Ox [StephenMelinda Gates Fund] January 4 2006 10:35 PM EST

Yeah I have to say I would respect the man if he were to just release them as fiction or opinion piece films and not label it documentary and say it's completely non-fiction. It shows that he is really just in it for the fame and money, because he probably knows that if someone were to make a real documentary showing the horrors of the Bush administration it wouldn't have the same entertainment value as his fluffed up flick.

Plus the man eats way too many hot dogs.
