Carnage Blender 1 Memories (in Off-topic)

I am accepting any memories you may have. I am making a personal comments page on a website of mine, and any comments anyone may have about the game are greatly appreciated.

My most enduring memory. ELBow+Archery = Broken.

Becoming chat op and Quarter Blender were the 2 best memories of my CB1, along with the getting to 2 mil PR.

My personal memories of CB1 are
1. Reaching 1,000,000,000 NW (and then losing it all) :)
2. Getting a x28 elbow and then not being able to use it :)
3. Meeting fine people like Moto and Wld and many other characters some of which are still around
4. Being caught out one day in chat when CB1 (and 2) were not up and everyone telling me 'yes- we are fighting fine' must be a problem with your machine - I fell for that one totally.
5. My first (and last) ever kick for non-PG (I had just drunk a fine bottle of Barolo).

I was able to reach 1.2mil pr without supportership and NW :D well leather armors did just fine.

My fondest CB1 memory involves a bit of bad behavior on my part....

Long ago, before the game had things like purchase and transfer logs, there was one particular player(I no longer recall his name) who was yammering endlessly in chat about how nothing good was in the store. He was also pestering people to give him stuff. Despite being repeatedly asked to stop, he continued his constant bellyaching and begging.

One fine day, I decided to "help" him out a bit. I bought the cheapest dagger in the store and anonymously sent it to him. This, of course, did not shut him up. He expressed great moral outrage at being given a mere dagger. I simply went back to the store, purchased another and sent it to him. This began a repeating cycle that went on for TWO whole days.

I confess to being immensely amused at his reactions whenever he found that dagger in his inventory. How could I not? He broadcast his outrage over chat every single time. He began to blame random people for this dagger mysteriously showing up over and over in his inventory. He also did not diminish his begging for "good stuff" from other players.

Finally someone else figured out that someone was teasing the guy and decided to join in the fun. Whoever this person was, purchased a whole boatload of cheap crud from the store and sent it all to Mr. Whiner.

The whiney player finally got the hint and shut up. The source of hilarity and amusement was no more. Shortly after this episode, Jon instituted the purchase and transfer logs, so this kind of fun is no longer possible.

Lol PK, that sounds like fun.

when i came on and i was given an Armet i think it was by wld that i could sell to the store for 60k!!!! i actually asked her permission to sell it :).

Reaching 1mil PR on my 1st character, and upgrading an arrow, with the assistance of BCmoto, so high it broke the game for me

3) Reading through old threads, laughing all the way. (crackmonkey)
4) Meeting the many great people of Cb1
5) Smacking my head as Monty achieved a debt of over 100m Cb1D

thanks guys. unfortunately, i'm trying to find a free server to upload my site to, so you can't see it yet, but i appreciate the comments. keep giving them to me, and i will keep posting them. :P

I was fairly new to the game and got CM conversations going on with a couple of people following a forum post I made. Great I thought, I've not gotten to know anybody yet and now I'm chatting to a few people at once. So I had several conversations with these people over the next couple of weeks and then they disappeared. A few days later I was browsing the PR forums and it turned out that these people were all multis of the same person. I felt a little bit stupid after that.......

Remembering when i could call Shade a newb, because he was one. ;)

Mistyping 'FUNK' in a full chatroom, admins/chatops and all. Was followed by my own departure from the room.

Finding two ELBOWS in store and buying both!

Making my first million on CB, and then having it cut down because of the rescale the next day.

Using my mobile to weigh down the Enter button, hours of endless fighting (no botchecks at the time) :)

Wow, and to think you were even a newb to me at one point :-/.
/me goes to walmart for a zimmer frame hoping they really do sell everything :P.

I remember the days when an armet was the best helm in the game, items never cost more than about 50k and so many more that I care not to share you lazy bum ;P.

Watching Red Sox Nation pass 1,2 and then 3 million PR.
Buying my first Loch from Todd.
Finally getting my hands on an ELBow after losing several in auctions to snipers.
Watching my wife Psyche top $250 million forging in less than a year.

I had a CB bday.

I do remember the day Jon closed signups, that made us all an elite group, no one could come to the game and start as a newb anymore.

Oh another good thing I remember is when we all got together to try and get store refreshes going again by buying stuff from the store for new players, wldflr and sefton started that, I was happy to have 2 char dedicated to storage.

Other than those, I am not really sure on anything else.

most of my good memories of cb1 are with the people, it was a great community, very close knit, and almost everyone was friends with everyone else. It makes me sad that i barely get to see many of them anymore. I remember the first time i met wldflr, she said "Sorry but every time i see your name i see Spit." and i said "Every time i see your name i see a bunch of weeds" and we've been good friends ever since lol
