Why am I losing (in General)

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] January 9 2006 8:10 PM EST

My charector Hell spawns can not win anything I do realize that the equipment is terrible but I was fighting ppl have my mpr why am i still losing.

th00p January 9 2006 8:13 PM EST

Looking at your character, and seeing a single tank, your weapons are not very good for that MPR. Other than that there isn't much wrong. May I suggest upgrading them a bit (a lot)?

Rubberduck[T] [Hell Blenders] January 9 2006 8:15 PM EST

As you said your equipment isn't much good, weapons are key for a tank. The main reason you can beat no-one would be that your ST is far too low.

[T]Vestax January 9 2006 8:17 PM EST

They have tattoos and you don't. That would be one of the only real reasons.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] January 9 2006 8:17 PM EST

Any suggestions as to what items I should look for.

QBPixel Sage January 9 2006 8:18 PM EST

My suggestion (and a strong one) is get a tattoo of augmentation. If I'm not wrong, it is suggested that strength be kept at 1/2 HP.

Doc [girl power] January 9 2006 8:28 PM EST

A ToA will only allow Kefeck to fight at a higher PR and run into the same problems.

Get some weapons that will do substantially more damage and increase your ST.
We cannot see what your AMF is at, but for a tank....its got to be high.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] January 9 2006 8:31 PM EST

I got about 1million into it.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] January 9 2006 8:32 PM EST

I got about 1million into it the anti magic field

QBPixel Sage January 9 2006 8:33 PM EST

Well, its best to mix a better weapon with a TOA, no?

Tezmac January 9 2006 8:36 PM EST

Youve got a mil exp into AMF, yet only 20 strength. That, along with your weapons, is probably why.

Doc [girl power] January 9 2006 8:51 PM EST

Pixel.

The ToA will alllow Kefeck to beat the people that he/she is losing to now. But....It will increase the PR to the point that he/she will lose battles and be in the same situation he/she is in now by having to fight higher for decent rewards.

New Weapons and DB's would make the difference at the lower level.
Morg, Exbow or Axbow and DB's.

I play the same kind of character and seldom do I equip my tat. I just use an RoE

Sorry, I forgot to add the ST problem.

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] January 9 2006 9:04 PM EST

For one, your a one minion team with no tattoo, thats why...lol

[T]Vestax January 9 2006 9:09 PM EST

The thing is that he's complaining about not being able to beat people around his MPR. People with tattoos to be specific. Now he could get one but TMDoc has made a good point.

Getting a tattoo would mean that kefeck would still have problems against people with the same PR. But let's think about this for a moment. I personally think he's doing just fine. He can't beat people his own MPR, but I'm sure he's doing well within his own PR bracket. The subtle difference between MPR and PR is throwing us off.

I say just get a better weapon and some more light weight AC and you'll be fine in my honest opinion.

Grant January 9 2006 10:42 PM EST

A score 3x power is nothing to cry about. I would suggest starting with small changes.

Iif you pump your strength up to 50k you'll see much more damage with the weapon you're using. (keep bloodlust at 1/4 str)

Given your dex emphasis, I would suggest elven gloves and either displacement boots or elven boots.

If you decide to wear a tattoo, go with a ToA. If you want to live longer against mages, go with a TSA/EC.

In summary:
1. Score 3x power is actually a _Good_ thing, even if some people are doing even better.
2. Make small changes to start with. For instance, pump your strength a little
3. Develop an armor/tattoo plan.

Maelstrom January 9 2006 10:49 PM EST

For now, buy a Steel Brig, Cloak, and Leather Gloves.

And train LOTS of ST. You may be able to hit your opponents multiple times due to your high DX, but it means nothing if each hit does no damage.

Seriously, what you did with your money?
Imo.change your strat to a mage if you want to keep your NW low.

Maelstrom January 9 2006 11:24 PM EST

He spent all the money he had on buying that char...

Black Rose January 9 2006 11:32 PM EST

Why not start a NCB instead of a low MPR Character.

sssimmo January 10 2006 12:40 AM EST

I can nearly beat him with a 78k mpr single minion. Its AMF that kills me cos I purposely have extremely small amount of HP. How can he expect to kill anything when he only does as much damage as a 1k mpr character (An average hit doing 60). I mean its like an ant trying to kill a dog with piece of paper. TRAIN SOME STRENGTH DUH!

AdminShade January 10 2006 4:46 AM EST

To be honest, as i see the character now, I'd have to join the mob and tell you to train some ST.

going from 20 to 81920 ST will multiply your damage with 64

chelon January 10 2006 4:59 AM EST

Well first you are a single tank team, which is fine but dont complain about losing cause thats the way it is.2nd you have no st at all. If you can't afford good weapon go rental, 5-10k a day for a decent melee and range weapon. But even with higher st,good wep and tattoo you still going to lose more than you win on same mpr fight, its just the way single tank is.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] January 10 2006 10:48 AM EST

One thing you might want to consider for the short term is to change BL to Evasion. A 75% increase on 60 damage is nothing.

You don't have a pair of DBs yet, so Evasion will help there. A 100K Evasion gives an effect of (40).

By all means, change back to BL once you have some natural Strength, if you want to be a Melee powerhouse.

What do you want to do with your character?
