Multi: SacredPeanut/Carnt Spall/ IronicMandible/Derek (in Public Record)

Derek January 19 2006 4:58 AM EST

No this isn't a joke, my conscience has been eating away at me and I've decided to come clean. I can provide the password for SacredPeanut - my original account if required (can't remember the passwords for the other two).

I won't get into the reasons why, needless to say I'm stupid =/
Not that it makes it any more acceptable but I didn't do it for personal gain, nor did I play the accounts concurrently.

I realise the multi accounts will be banned, I only hope owning up will allow me some leniency and the original account (SacredPeanut) gets reset not banned so I can continue playing.

Sorry for this, stupid, stupid, stupid is all I can say :(

Good to see you didn't sell out first (as far as I can see) before owning up. Bad Derek, bad. But good for you at the same time.

I think you will still be able to play CB, though with the first account made which would be reset as you already thought.

AdminShade January 19 2006 5:37 AM EST

Just try to have no debts running now, so you don't let other people suffer for what you've done

just trying to help, nothing more :)

Good on you for coming clean. ^_^

"good on you for coming clean"

NO!
don't multi in the first place...
good on everyone else who hasn't multi'ed!

What if the Derek account gets reset? What will happen to all those preciously named items? Save the Wet Noodle!

Special J January 20 2006 12:19 AM EST

Admins tend to take care of rare and named items prior to a reset.

Even though he has "come clean" it will still be looked at for, we have had room mates come clean about being a "multi" only to be a liar and out to get back at someone.

sssimmo January 20 2006 12:57 AM EST

Lol!!!

Won't somebody think of the "wet noodle"!!!

QBPixel Sage January 20 2006 1:20 AM EST

Special J, so you mean X "came clean" as being a multi of Y when Y was actually another person, but X just wanted to get back at Y? That's sneaky. Maybe each of the accounts Derek mentioned should be CM'd to see if a response comes back. No response should be expected from Carnt Spall or IronicMandible, since Derek said he forgot the password to them, but one should come back from SacredPeanut... or you could just CM the two and have Derek post in this thread s SacredPeanut... did that make any sense whatsoever?

We could just build a bridge out of him, then we'd know for certain if he is a multi.

Sacredpeanut January 20 2006 4:12 AM EST

As requested I'm confirming what I said above.

I considered selling Derek's stuff to the store but I'm not sure if it's really ethical.

I've CM'ed Bartjan so hopefully this will be dealt with shortly.

I don't seem to be getting a response from an admin, I'd appreciate if a sub-admin could let an admin know about this thread.

AdminShade January 21 2006 7:13 AM EST

The full admins already know about this, and they are just investigating it so they won't make mistakes.

Finally found some time to look into this.

Deleted Derek, Carnt Spall and IronicMandible.

I decided not to fine SacredPeanut, based on 2 reasons:
- I didn't see him getting any advantage from his multis.
- He reported his errors himself, which is the second best thing to do (after not multiing at all). I'd hope that this example allows other people's consciences to act up and come clean.

Of course, if there was any advantage from his actions, then that does need to be corrected...

Thanks Bartjan
