Multi Evidence? (in General)

Whats the deal with multi-ing? Everyone keeps complaining about people sending money and items and stuff, is that not legal? Can't you lend a friend items or even give items for free? I mean I'm not a multi (back off) and I feel that if I give my friends stuff that I am going to be accused of a multi. Are there any rules/guidelines because I feel that there are many wrongful accusations.

on the same IP, it makes it look as one person, if one acct is sending money/items to another with nothing in return... Two accts with one person running them is illegal

From the FAQ:

The community polices "multis" fairly diligently. IP sharing is the main evidence in such cases, but is not in an of itself proof of guilt. If you share an IP with other players, you should avoid transfers (particularly one-sided ones) to each other to avoid the appearance of evil.

If I were you, and I'm not, I would not, under any circumstances, give anything to friends. Besides, they have a NUB, what more could they possibly need that they won't be able to get in 3 days?

There might be so many wrongful accusations, but you'd have to understand that if 1 player is having 2 accounts, and lets it run for a long time, he/she can make money from it.

Giving a friend a gift is legal, and sometimes encouraged because those people tend to stick better to the game. But however if 2 accounts are on 1 IP address (mostly 1 PC) then it tends to get suspicious when it comes to gifts.

Most of the time there are certain gifts which are either quite big amounts, or regular amounts of money or items, and that gives us the idea that one of them is gaining a lot from the existence of the other account. Which is the basics of being/making a multi.

So yes perhaps out of every 10 accusations, 5 are real multis. But what if there were only 5 accusations, then there would only be 4 multis caught perhaps, leaving with 1 who can make USD out of the game possibly.
