Lindsay Jacobellis..more like... Smell-o-bellis (in Off-topic)

So in the Snowboarding Cross finals in the olympics 4 women go down the hill at the same time. It is very easy to wipe out and such, and two of the four wipe out.

So Lindsay Jacobellis of America gets a huge lead against the person in second, and on the last jump she does a trick just to showboat. Of course, she falls and ends up in second.



If you had a big lead in the olympics and were about to get gold, would you showboat at all or go straight through to the end?

That's what snowboards do, show off.

I would have expected nothing less from her. Especially at the Olympics and a gold medal at hand.

It is sad that this one time, she wiped out.

If you have ever been skiing, you would see all the stunts snowboarders do. It is like they have no fear of death.

Yes I have been snowboarding since I was 5, growing up in Michigan that happens.

And as snowboarders came along they definitely fit into the stereotype of constantly showing off and trying to one up everyone else on the mountain.

My friends that snowboard don't do that though, so I don't think it's all of them, hence a "stereotype"

Nope, I agree with Oxtetor. She gets this huge lead because everyone is wiping out, she looks back and sees how far everyone is behind us, then pulls a method air and wipes herself.

Understandable, I suppose, but then she LIES ABOUT IT to the cameras. "I grabbed my board to stabilize myself on that last jump, but I guess it just didn't work"....I almost spit at the television set.

OH MAN that is when I lost total respect for her... It was so obvious she flat out lied.

I would like to complain now about the title of this thread. The most awful name joke I have ever seen, and as I was looking through active threads, it made me queasy.

She was getting too much publicity anyway...
