Hey Jon? You going to make some Real CB T Shirts again? (in General)

Shark February 18 2006 3:05 AM EST

the last and only time I think you offered CB T Shirts For Sale complete with our user name emblazoned on them I missed out...Are you ever going to consider offering something as unique as a CB T shirt again...Baseball Caps would be cool too :) just askin..(v)oo(V)

Xiaz on Hiatus February 18 2006 3:06 AM EST

hehe, want to show the world you're a PROUD CBer!? ;)

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] February 18 2006 5:49 AM EST

Well now that we have CB2 I think it would be a good idea to get a new batch.

chappy [Soup Ream] February 18 2006 9:40 AM EST

/me wants a t-shirt :)

Angel of Death [Hell Blenders] February 18 2006 10:03 AM EST

the problem with the t-shirts are that only american ppl can get them, i want a t-shirt but im a belg so i cant get 1 unless someone wanne me mail me 1

chappy [Soup Ream] February 18 2006 10:07 AM EST

I'd be willing to mail overseas as long as the buyer was willing to pay the actual shipping cost and send money to my PayPal account. I try and help out with these community issues when I can ..

SNK3R February 18 2006 10:08 AM EST

Wrong, Angel of Death.

When Jon did the CB T-shirts in CB1, he said: "To order, paypal $10 for an XL or $11 for an XXL to jonathan@carnageblender.com, or email that address for snail mail instructions. Add $4 for shipping to North America or $9 for anywhere else in the world."

Reference: [1]

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] February 18 2006 10:20 AM EST

XL and XXL? There's a lot of small people here I'm sure!

But yea, i don't think i joined in time for the T-Shirts... Sad to say.

Adminedyit [Superheros] February 18 2006 11:10 AM EST

T-shirts heck yeah i want one this is a great idea.

chappy [Soup Ream] February 18 2006 11:23 AM EST

and I also agree about the sizes ...

/me needs a medium - large ...

Angel of Death [Hell Blenders] February 18 2006 11:23 AM EST

snk i don't have a CC so there is another problem for me, ill just ask someone to buy 1 for me and to mail it and ill give him cb2 cash

bartjan February 18 2006 11:27 AM EST

You don't need a CC for paypal. A bank account also works.

AdminShade February 18 2006 11:27 AM EST

which is also a possibility AoD, obviously.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] February 18 2006 11:29 AM EST

It's not like someone here couldn't make them (this means you $US spenders) and sell them for $CB...

NSFY February 18 2006 6:23 PM EST

Jonathan is busy knitting me a sweater and a pair of mittens but after that maybe he can start on your dumb T-shirts.

My sweater is going to say "CB Ombudsman" on the front in rainbow font!!!

Undertow February 18 2006 8:05 PM EST

Only XXL? I need a 5X at least.

Guardian of the Glen February 18 2006 8:29 PM EST

I would like one too. Very cool idea.

QBPixel Sage February 18 2006 9:33 PM EST

If I had time and the community would like it, I could try setting up something with cafepress, though the overall price may be a bit high... not sure. Let's see... I think its $8 for a T-shirt with only a design on the front, plus $4 s/h.... Not terribly high I guess.

Shark February 19 2006 2:12 AM EST

well I guess now we can wait to See if Jon thinks much of this . Even if only like 10 or 15, 20 people maybe wants one, we can do something...We could have a baseball cap too :) ...sure wish someone would post a pic. of their r CB T shirt here so we can have a looksee :)

Halcyon February 19 2006 5:52 AM EST

Unless it's a longsleeve, or black .. I dun wear it .. so, black longsleeve, I'm in, for probly a couple.

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] February 19 2006 12:08 PM EST

The last ones were a black short-sleeve IIRC.
They had the Carnage Blender and I think the logo on the front and the name of all those who bought one on the back.
Good for trying Pixel but I think we should leave it until Jon wants to do one so we can keep the previous professional look while also keeping those costs down to help us Europeans with that incredible $9 shipping.

SNK3R February 19 2006 2:20 PM EST

Your wish is my command. Here is the shirt from CB1.

**Note: Jonathan's signature did not come on all of them, only to those who specified.

SNK3R February 19 2006 2:24 PM EST

Oh, and to be more specific: They were white and short-sleeved.

sssimmo February 19 2006 4:17 PM EST

Few names on that shirt I haven't seen for ages.

AdminQBVerifex [Serenity In Chaos] February 19 2006 7:38 PM EST

I have one those shirts too, but I gotta say, I'd much rather have a Hat this time then another T-Shirt..

PirateKing February 19 2006 7:42 PM EST

*agrees with Verifex*

I skipped the shirts last time because I wanted a hat more. Much rather see hats this time as well.

Xiaz on Hiatus February 19 2006 7:44 PM EST

How would you put all the player names on a hat?

Ox [StephenMelinda Gates Fund] February 19 2006 7:50 PM EST

Very carefully.

PirateKing February 19 2006 7:50 PM EST

You are assuming that I want a name other than my own on a hat?

Xiaz on Hiatus February 19 2006 7:52 PM EST

O, in that case, forget what I said. ;)

[T]Vestax February 19 2006 8:03 PM EST

Carnage Blender Boxers. This way the girls know you've got the rhythm. Down Enter Down Enter Down Enter...

PirateKing February 19 2006 8:05 PM EST

Wouldn't want any other players' names other than mine on boxers either. :P

YNM February 19 2006 8:16 PM EST

GPV could that be taken as un-pg?

Xiaz on Hiatus February 19 2006 8:18 PM EST

in what way?

[T]Vestax February 19 2006 8:24 PM EST

How so YNM?

Tsabo Rashdak February 19 2006 9:29 PM EST

If you have a CB hat, perhaps you could put just your name on rather than everyone that buys a hat. Not only that, you could do beanie hats aswell as baseball caps.

RedWolf February 19 2006 10:26 PM EST

only if you've got your mind in the gutter, YNM :-P

heh, i didn't even catch on to that until you pointed it out....

Ox [StephenMelinda Gates Fund] February 19 2006 10:33 PM EST

Haha wow Vestax that was really dirty.

Definitely un-PG to me. But I don't care because it was funny.

Shark February 21 2006 6:29 AM EST

well theres not much more to say about this if we dont hear from the man himself..maybe one of you that is closer to Jon than myself could plant a good word in for us :)

AdminJonathan February 21 2006 1:56 PM EST

I'm okay with pixel (or anyone else who wants to do the whole labor of love thing) putting something up on cafe press as long as he's not taking a commission on it, i.e., sells it at the minimum CP cost. Just put something like "Carnage Blender is copyright 2006 by Jonathan Ellis. Used with permission" on the site.

I'm not really interested in doing another official shirt myself. The 2003 shirt (a) was a _lot_ of work and (b) generated even more whining than I expected. ("I'd rather have a hat! Why isn't there a Small size! I don't like the design! I'm offended that it says 'violence' on the back! I want a color shirt but I'm not willing to pay extra for it!" etc.)

In other words, something that should have been fun, wasn't.

Doom Lit Sky February 21 2006 2:03 PM EST

As to be expected.

I won't whine, but it would be a hassle for me to buy a shirt. I would have to find a friend with PP or something. ALTHOUGH, if there WAS a black shirt, I would purchase one, as long as it was under 30 usd.

QBBarzooMonkey February 21 2006 5:32 PM EST

I've stayed out of this thread until now, to see if Jonathan would sanction the idea or not. Since he has (sort-of), I have a friend who owns a screen printing shop (and I've designed shirts with him before). I'll talk to him about pricing (hopefully at a discount) and see where it goes from there.

Maybe if a friendly Admin (or anyone with the power to do so) could make a poll to A) find out real interest and b) find out majority preference for t-shirt or baseball cap :)

My disclaimer: Chances are that all choices involved would be very limited - you can't please all the people all of the time, and I'd never even consider trying. This is in no way a commitment to take this project on, but simply an offer to look into "what's involved" to better make that decision later on.

chappy [Soup Ream] February 21 2006 5:50 PM EST

BM - nice work already! I can't help much except with providing what I'd like ... but I'll wait for a poll ... I like how that sounds ..

/me would like a black shirt (size large) .. logo and all are not as important .. popular vote wins :)

QBPixel Sage February 21 2006 5:55 PM EST

If BM's screening thing doesn't work out, I'd be happy to do cafepress (which means unlimited quantities and products).

SNK3R February 21 2006 5:58 PM EST

The only bad thing for Jon not doing it is the product of a virtual item. Man, I had like 3 or 4 of those stocked away on CB1. :)

RedWolf February 22 2006 7:28 PM EST

/me would like a black shirt (size large) .. logo and all are not as important .. popular vote wins :)

--chappy, February 21 2006 5:50 PM EST

go to the mall, they restock every week :-P
