General Tournament Rules

1. All participants must submit a 25k entrance fee to the character 'Storage Bin' for every tourney character you enter. A single player can enter as many characters as they wish.
2. All entrance fees must include the name of the character in the message of the transfer. The required prefix does not need to be in the message.
3. Tourney characters are not allowed to have the New Character Bonus (NCB)
4. Paying/Asking players to fight and lose/draw to your character is forbidden.
5. Tourney characters can not be in a clan at any time during the tourney.

Specific Tournament Rules

1. Each tourney character is to be prefixed with '[tour2-?]', where '?' is to be substituted with either a 1 or a 4. Nothing else will be accepted.
2. Tourney characters prefixed with '[tour2-1]' must have exactly one minion throughout the entire tourney.
3. Tourney characters prefixed with '[tour2-4]' must have exactly four minions throughout the entire tourney.
4. Tourney characters must be created after the start of the tourney. The tourney starts at Monday, March 6th, in the morning at 12:01 am server time.
5. Tournament ends on Sunday, March 19th at 11:59 pm server time. (2 weeks after the start of the tourney.)
6. All items that are 'rare' are forbidden. This includes Familiars, Tattoos, Runes, Supporter Items, and anything else that can spawn from the Blackmarket.
7. Training the direct damage spell Decay is forbidden.
8. Regular characters are restricted to no more then 3500 BA for making challenges. New User Bonus (NUB) characters are restricted to 1375 BA for making challenges.
9. It is forbiddened for any character to fight at 6:00am to 12:00pm server time on Tuesdays and 12:00pm to 6:00pm server time on Saturday during the tourney. This means no fighting during extra xp times.

*Any violation of the above rules will cause the disqualification of your character and your entrance fee will not be refunded.

Notes, Additions and Clarifications

• There is no NW cap.
• Transfers can be made to and from the tourney character. This includes cash and non-rare items.
• You can send donations to 'Storage Tank'. Send items to 'Storage Bin' if sending to 'Storage Tank' is denied.
• Players can be in clans, their tourney characters cannot. The point is that the tourney character should not be able to get a clan bonus.

How soon must the char have all four minions?

It says "throughout the entire tourney" but as I recall a new char doesn't have enough cash to buy four minions immediately. If I'm correct, then I'd suggest that all four minions be on the char prior to 500 MPR or some other such number. If I'm wrong, then ignore me and I apologize for getting in the way.

If you have 20 CB cash to spare, you'll have enough to hire all 4 minions. It's $120 to hire 4, and you start out with 100.

chelon, you tourney character can only initiate 3500 fights. You can use all the BA you want on your non-tourney characters and you can even forge with your tourney character. (Though I can't imagine why you would want to do that.)

colonel, as OB says, if you can spare $20 from one of your other accounts then you can start out with 4 minions. If you can't raise that kind of money by the start of the tourney then I wouldn't suggest playing.

And just to clarify, when I mean you can't be in a clan I mean the character, not the player. The point is that the tourney character itself should not be receiving a clan bonus. As it was pointed out in the last tourney, it is not a fairly distributed resource. Some players would be guaranteed a 15% bonus while others almost none at all.

For those that feel that they are too dedicated to their clans to give up BA on a tourney, I'll point out some basic math for you.

-50 hours of BA -6 refreshes per hour
-10 BA per refresh -Add 1006 BA -Subtract 320 BA
50 x 6 x 10 BA + 1003 BA - 320 BA = 3683 BA

Hence why I put the battles as challenger limit at 3500. Yet, if enough of you feel that it would be a whole lot easier for you to participate if the total was dropped to 3000, then that's what I'll do.

Yes, you can make it any time during the contest. And yes you can purchase one, but you can't use it. The point is to make an effective team without rares, this includes lesser-tattoos as well as regular ones.

Yes, those are battles as challenger. Getting extra battles from simple farming doesn't count.
