Question on forging Adam (in General)

The description for the Adam says "Durability : [220, 40*]" where the * means an extra quench.

When I got to the end of the cycle and it was cool to the touch and it seemed done (I got the bonus). But I quenched again. The Dwarf told me I was doing it wrong. Fortunately that only wasted one BA, but what does the '*' mean.

how many times did you quench that last time then?

You should have quenched 4 times while getting the 'cool to touch' notice at 3 quenches already.

Hmm. Just tried it again and it did go cool twice at the end. Must have been seeing things, like blue spots or straw colored ones :)

Well I think you accidently clicked 2 times instead of 1, in which the forge dwarf had let you cool 2 times.

And as far as being embarrassed, don't be ;)

haha, do you know how many times i do that? i screwed up so many times, and thought the dwarf had grown it's own personality and was screwing my up on purpose.
