creating a script to buy all rares items in shops (in Public Record)

yes that's right. I want to know who is right between Qbranger, sefton or megaman. The first is saying that scripts ruin the game, the two others say that a normal camper can beat even scripts.

So i will write a script to buy as fast as possible all rare items from all the shops in the game.

This is public message so that I will not be banned after having bought several mh in a row!

By the way, I forgot to say that i do not know anything about html and all computer stuffs of any kind, so I am asking about a tutorial in html scripts or anything else that could do the job...

There is no doubt even in Ranger's mind that MM and I could and did beat the cheaters on a regular basis, so your main supposition is moot. It is made further moot by the fact that your script will never find a rare in the store (unless someone sells it to the store) If that is what you are holding your experiment for, you are wasting time because the one thing about camping was it was certain. Waiting for someone to sell to the store is not. I do not visit the store in hopes of catching G_Bee or anyone else selling a rare, I do it for ammo, if I happen to be lucky enough to be there when there is a rare I will buy it.

Here is a secret of camping. The one thing that gave a dedicated camper an advantage was, when we see the rare, we do not get excited until after it was purchased. You and your script sees the rare, and you will get excited on seeing it. While you are fumbling for the click/buy controls, or heck lets say your script does it for you, regardless your inexperience would have given me a few second edge. Its hard not to "freak" out when you see an elbow in the store for 10K. I missed it a few times until I realized that freaking out was causing mistakes and those mistakes were causing me to lose the purchase.

If you want to do this to learn HTML and scripting go right ahead, more power to you learning is GREAT! But there is not experiment here :)

There are no more rares in the stores... The most you could do would be lesser Tattoos.

Sefton, you're absolutely right. The only time I saw an ELB in the store, I was so excited that it took me about 5 clicks to click the right box, and of course by that time someone else (I think Megaman - grr!) had gotten it...

If you wrote a script and left it to the human to do the final clicking, you would be an idiot. Have the script click it and buy. I don't think that would take "a few seconds".

I automate several web sites, and for fast-loading pages, the computer can enter data and "submit" far faster than any human.

I'm not saying a human camper can't beat the computer -- there is still the timing to consider along with the bot checks. Even with a script, chaos still rules the day. *smile*

Without question Sut. As you say I still beat the cheaters from pure chaos :)

I was more so commenting on the fact that lucky non-cheaters, non-campers walking into the store and trying to buy a rare, were at a disadvantage because of the shock factor of their "success" at finding a rare, and that is another reason why I do not think non-campers were harmed by scripting cheaters.

Wasn't cb changed to spawn in auctions due to that exact script already?
