well see here is the thing.. i went everwhere to try to get the stupid pre-order package and all the idiots have no clue what I am talking about. I have 5 bucks down now at EB Games (*cough cough*) Let's see if the fools can figure out they owe me something, then I will pay the rest of the money ha! I will keep you posted.

There is already a lack of monks in the game. Once this release hits Everyone is going to be an assasin. I dont know about you guys but i think in some PUGS you would want some Nuker ele, or a healer monk, maybe a tank that is better than hench.

The expantion is going to have a huge impact on the game, class wise, which in return is going to make gathering PUGs harder than what it currently is.

So IMO they should have did something to encourage Monks, its not like the could become over powered they are obsolete as it is? And we all have the opportunity to make one...

well monks are still the best to heal and protect so i dont think they will go out of style. Well i pre-ordered it and my EB ran out of pre-order packages... im pretty mad... if someone gets it could i get the guest pass? send it through CM?

I have a Monk which I switch up between Heal or Protection and I have never had a problem getting into a group to hunt for greens.

Monks are hard to come by, and it will get worse.

The new expansion is an attempt to provide the option of a secondary healing class, aka Shamans. Yet everyone already knows that nothing can replace a true Monk. Plus, anyone who chooses to be a Shaman really won't want to heal anyways. Just like the many many Elementalists, Necromancers, Mesmers, and Rangers out there with Monk as their secondary class.

oh come on, you shouldn't have to sell or buy monking services... Once this happens and becomes acceptable i believe that will be the proper time for me to quit the game.

Paying runners is one thing but a Monk, thats paying someone to do there job.

that could be true but stupid people think they can overpower everything with the tank or nuke everything with the ele or just plain destroy with mesmer or necro makes the monk count go down which just makes it harder to get a good monk in your group. Most of the monks i have encountered in game have been utter n00bs. The good monks are rare note i say GOOD, so if the good monk count is decresing other good monks could take advantage of the teams that need healing

Is this game really fun? My friend said it was boring, buti still think i might enjoy it, what makes this game fun for you guys over EQ or WoW? (Besides the pay to play part)

I would play WoW but the fees wouldnt go to well

Oblivion looks great but i dotn have a Xbox and i doubt my computer graphic card can handle some of those mad graphics.

Davis: I belive my point still stands. And doesnt it take a Noob in order to become a Vet? Lower level Monks are still learning. Hell i didnt fully get my nec built till i was level 20. It takes time and being a Monk you do have a lot more pressure.

I just dont see how the expansion is really goign to play out. I guess we will see very soon. Wont we :)

well my worst experience forced me to hire a good monk. Thunderhead Keep there were usually alot of monks there but they were either smites or complete n00bs. I asked them if the had this one elite skill and they said they never heard of it. There was like no way to get past it cause the monks sucked even worst than the hench. They went off and tryed to tank while everyone else stuck together.
