Just pre-ordered mine today, anyone else out there a Elder Scrolls follower?

yes i loved morrowind but sadly i don't have an xbox 360 :(

It will be amazing.

I'm an Elder Scrolls fan - I love the fact that they're designed for single player. CB was actually the first online game I've gotten into.

Sadly, my computer is too old to run Oblivion, but just today I had a serious hardware failure, so I may have an excuse to upgrade! ;)

on the xbox version, (and maybe PC version, dont know if it worked), i wonder if the stealing stuff from shops at the peak of your jump works in this new game, lol.

Didn't order it yet, but I know a store which will have the Collector's Special Edition for the PC.

I will own that or it will own me :)

Better hurry and reserve it Shade, they only made a certain number of "collectors editions" and they are all sold out around where I live. Ok, granted I live in Seattle, and I'm sure that has something to do with why it's all sold out here.. lol

I love ES and played it on PC. I cannot wait for this one to come out. I may buy XBOX360 just for this game only.

On another note, I never able to finish the ES game. 8^) I got lost so easy in that big city. Always quit when I hit it.

which big city?

It's the one that has a quest to track a thief in a sewer beneath the city. I cannot recall the name. However, that city is HUGE and discouraging. I quit like 3 times to that points. hihihi. I guess I'm not hardcore enough for the game.

I do love the ability to steal when jumping up on a ledge. It is a good exploit. 8^)

Wonder how many will buy oblivion? I'm going to buy it in summer with the XBOX360, when they have the stock.

Just got my copy now, the xbox is starting up as I'm typing this. Be back in 4 days with an update...

Got the special collector's edition, with a nice 10% discount even, and they had more of them

but actually I don't have it yet, but ordered it, should have it next week :)

You buy a PC version and you have to download something?

I hate game that requires downloading stuff.

The pc version I am buying doesn't require anything to be downloaded, except perhaps when a patch comes out IF it requires one.

Wow, I pre-ordered it from Amazon and I just got it yesterday. It should have come with a warning: "May cause excess sleep loss".

It is a freaking beautiful game. Right before I exit the game to sleep, I happened to be staring at a door to somewhere. I noticed all the intricate shadows happily reflecting off this simple object, a door. It is one step closer to reality. A must buy for anyone!


My favorite parts so far:
1) Finding my first real weapon. Even though the fists are not a bad weapon themselves, you can even do some psuedo-kung fu moves if you move the mouse right.
2) Running charge attack into a rat. Nothing better then gutting a rat in one blaze of glory move.
3) Jumping up on the counter in the store and all the items falling onto the floor.

My least favorite parts so far:
1) My video codec drivers cause visual distortion problems in the opening video. I know its something specific to my video codec drivers too. I installed the special "K-lite" codecs for anyone that knows, so I could tweak the settings while I was watching videos. Now that is coming to bite me in the butt, I'm not sure what to do about that now. :(
2) With the sexy new physics engine, everything is movable, but you still can't pick up and throw townspeoples own items without them screaming "Theif!"
3) I haven't been able to break anything with my fists yet, but I did roll some logs over a bunch of goblins, that was neat.

I am getting it tomorrow!

I loved Elder Scrolls, but it is one of those games that just took too long. Started killing Dagoths and getting cool stuff, then quit.

Own it now, the special collector's edition and I can actually play it! :)

xbox 360 outpaces 75% of PC on the market. i would buy a 360 if i were him.

Elder Scrolls was not as fun as it should have been. The map was huge .. thats good, but it lacked .... fun?? :P It got very old very fast...

my pc isnt good enough to play it :-/

All i have are pci slots. So its not like i can go out and buy a hella nice Card.

And for obvious reasons i cant take it back.

Oh the beautifulyness of being able to hit every attack. Oh the beauty of slaying a rat with a wel placed charge attack. Oh the beauty of killing a rat in mid-air with my flare attack.

*sniff* I want to play too! But I need several hundred dollars worth of upgrades to my PC to do so. Which I can't afford.
