Public Record Fund (in Public Record)

This is an organization that me and MaL decided to form because we believe that even though the forum does not give items / cash back (understandable so) we believe that many players should still get something to make the loss of goods easier to bear. We have made a character under my account named "Public Record Fund". We just wanted to state here that this is a completely non-profit Fund and we will take no tax or income of any kind from it. We are doing this solely because we want to make the better place (as I am sure many of you will hate us for).

We would gladly accept any and all donations from any player willing to contribute. It can be tiny (but cash only please) or large. This is to increase the amount of people we can help. Also I want to state that who we help out will be completely up to me and MaL and we will not be swayed by anything other then our personal decision on a case by case basis on to who gets what. This is to make sure we are not accused of bias or any other form of scamming.

The character to send all donations to is: Public Record Fund

Once again only with a deal that was broken in PR can we take any interest in a case. Also just because you lack money or are "poor" we will not give moeny to you. Also do not try to scam us by getting you and your friend to get together post a faulty PR and then ask for money. If we notice anything like that we will of course not send anythign and never send you anything in case something did happen.

Note: a link to a thread will always be needed in order to prove you lost out on money.

Note 2: We will be keeping tabs on who donates so we can take it into account if that person ever gets scammed. If anyone wants to check whos donated what to check my biography.

Note 3: Just to let everyone know it has nothing to do with how much you send to show your generosity. A player with 50k who sends 25k is just as generous as a player with 1 mil who sends 500k. At least in theory. So just in case anyone has scoffed at other or will about how much they send.... plz do NOT do so. Thank you

Added guidelines:
There will no NO questioning of them. If you don't like them, let us see the problems ourselves and fix if we deem necessary.

Guidelines for now:
below 100k we will give no more then 80%
500k and below no more then 60%
1 million and below no more then 50%
5 mil and below no more then 40%

Now those are very rough guidelines. If I find or MaL finds a problem we will adjust accordingly. Also notice we gave no minimum. We may have very good reasons for giving substantially less and we will not feel compelled to give the maximum amount. Also existing funds will have a role in who gets what as will if that persons has donated (though the difference will be small and the amount donated will matter little so to make sure that people dont feel they have to donate large amounts to be treated fairly).

Due to the fact that many people seem to either not know this or not care we are restating this fact. You are entitled to a refund whether or not you have donated to the fund. But we do still need donations to keep us going. So if you are scammed it does not matter if you have donated or not. You are still entitled to a refund.

this fund was already started about 3 months ago - are you saying that it was a rip off ? I sent a couppla 100K or whatever - could someone check if the old 'fund' was a rip-off or has just folded.

Relax Freed its the same thing and its not a rip off. Me and th00p are currently working on how much to give to Hyrule.

I have just been advised of that fact DL - I totally apologise and fully support what you are doing - good move :)

Me and th00p are about to repay Hyrule_Castle 1.5 million (roughly 50%) of what he was owed by BW fireforge
The final amount he was owed is 2921625 but considering he is a reputedly good member of the game and has promisedto be an active contributor we are going to round up a bit.

So in response I am asking for a new wave of donations. We still have alot but if another big scam comes along I doubt we could handle it easily.

The current cash the Fund has is Cash: $3,407,037
After the reduction of 1.5 mil the fund will be down to 1,907,037. This means we can't cover any scam over 4 million.

So we ask for more donations to make sure we can handle any coming problems. The character to send any donations to is Public Record Fund.

Responding to Atomicboy's comment in General.

If you want bump the PR thread or give copy of it. Ask that the time is up and he be reset. Then me and th00p will work out a payment. Probably about 50%.

Also post exactly what is owed after interest and payments he DID make.

Also remember that if you do this he will have to be reset. No guilt trips but remember there is no going back lol.

Atomicboy: you have to make a PR thread with the request to have that player reset, otherwise it won't be done. (this isn't official enough and thus doesn't warrant the 'refund' imo)

also the player has to be reset prior to any refunds imo also.

Shade doesn't think you warrant it then you don't. There IS a PR post I take it stating all this?
