Guild Wars CB clan (in Off-topic)

I was just wondering how many of us cbers play Guild Wars. Shade and i have very very breifly suggested creating a Carnageblender Guild. This is up to you guys. We could raise some money and create one judging on how many members we can get.

This of course wouldnt be limited to only cbers but there friends as well. So what do you guys think?

guild wars is an online role playing game. It is completly free after you purchase the game. Pretty fun and lots to do.

I will join, will be fun doing GvG battles with people I have known for a while :)

Well, ranament, I myself am not really a GvG player, I'm more of a PvE player on Guild Wars.

So perhaps the idea of GvG would be a bit hard to actually accomplish when we don't have too many people playing yet :)

Yea, I'm just saying that its funner to play with people you know instead of people you just joined up with.

I would join in but there is a problem with my Direct X at the moment so I cant play any games requiring a graphics card.

Also the fact that I'm too lazy to get it fixed and I'm no computer-wiz like everyone else here =P

Don't forget a few like Aco and Odesseus left to play GW, and Im sure there are others. I think if u created the guild you might get some other pps coming out of the woodwork to join...

It is understandable that you like your own guild. Those that play can have guest privileges to our guild. We can work something out.I also dont mind people being inactive.

So it appears to me that we have enough players to form a Guild; maybe not a very large one but enough

So Any suggestions as to what we should name it? Even if it is silly post it. The least it could do is make us laugh and spark our imaginations. If you're going to be embarrassed about the name you have thought of feel free to cm me or Shade telling us. This way you can remain anonymous.

Just get normal Guild Wars. Factions is an expansion that is coming out soon.

Anyways how about "Soldiers of Spid" seeing how Spid was the first char in cb2 to get 2 mil pr and was leading until cb2 started :)

Spid was the first to 2 mil pr in cb1 sorry and incase it is needed my main char is Thor Thunder Hammer

imo the Guild name has to do something with Carnage or Blender.

BTW put me down as an possibility for now and I'll CM either you or Leon when my GW is up an running again. Also how many of the ppl joining are getting Factions??? Cause I dont think ppl of the expansion can still play with those with just the normal so it kind of gives a foresight(is this the right place to use such a word?my vocab is very bad and sometimes even start making up words when i write my essays =P) of what might happen when the expansion does come out.

Remember how much it was to purchase a guild hall when Guild wars first came out!? Its going to be just like that on Factions. I dont know about you guys but i wont be having 100k to throw down when it comes out. Not to mention im not getting it to begin with.

When factions comes out expect a huge inflation of that game and an even bigger deflation of Guild wars.

Talks about a Guild in Factions should wait for a few months to let prices steady.

I do not own Guild Wars, neither do I wish to but thought I would add a name.

People with factions will be able to play with people who only have prophecies. Guilds can be composed of people who just have prophecies and people with both... so there will be no need for a second guild for Factions or anything. I think on the issue of Factions and a Cb guild, the more important question is who do we plan to ally with, the Kurzicks or the Luxons?

In terms of names, Blenders of Carnage gets my vote.

Blenders of Carnage has 3 votes so far and thus is by far the most popular.

I think that it would be a nice name also but lets wait for the week end before finally picking.

Although Soldiers of Spid is my 2 cents, I'm going to have to vote for The Order of the Blender. :)

why dont we make it a public poll thing for the name?

We will have to ask an admin about that, could be a good way to get the voting to be on a larger scale with lots more people :)

I played GW months ago and I think I ended up making a clan called Order of Carnage [OoC] or something like that. Of course, I was the only one in it, but still - good luck to you guys in your endeavour. Once I beat Baldur's Gate 2 again and reinstall Guild Wars I might look to join your guild.

now to choose how the cape will be looking, just let me know which one you like best or make a top 5 or so:
the capes are numbered like this:
1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 10
etc.
the logo's are numbered in the same way.

also choose between the basic colors:

hmmm I like the cape with the black and grey flames around the edges.. and the one with the thick black line running through it...the symbol is the rapier and rose crossed.... and the color scheme would be the middle one

Shade told me to respond so do not bite my head off. But those are my choices. As for names I like Carnage Smoothie. Hehehe smoothie....

I like cape 30 with either the burning hand, the 1st thing on the second row or the griffen thats on the last row. For colors the detail(flames) should be black, the background should be blue and the emblem should be red. The red should prolly be the shade in the middle so its not pink but still visible and the blue should be what ever shade of blue looks good with the cape

If we all get specific things I think it's up for debate for a long time.

so new idea:

pick your 5 most favorite capes
pick your 5 most favorite logos

colors and all will come later. :)

ok capes are 30, 11, 3, 21, 27 and logos are the burning hand, the 1st thing on the 2nd row, the griffen on the last row, the very last thing and the thing to the right of the anchor. The logos aren't in any order but the capes are from best to worst :)

Theres so many to choose from. I dont really care to much about what the cape looks like. Although for the emblem i like the claw thing the most.

Also gave shade plenty of money in order to fund our Soon To Be Great CB Guild! So no donations will be needed.

Guild Hall ill be very picky on though :P

I only like the Warriors or Archers/Rangers guild halls.

I have no idea what the different names are and the matching halls but I use warriors so the warriors one sounds good too me

Fixed the large images so it would adjust to the width of the frame. (For FireFox users mainly, IE sucks.) Right-click and view image to see it in full size.

By the way, if your going to be the Solders of Spid, then may I suggest you go for the Axe as your emblem. I know I shouldn't have a say, but I guarantee I would join your clan if ever I should play.

Thanks, no i actually dont mind people putting positive feed back. I said no one else but people that play guild wars to post because i didnt want any flaming and such behavior.

Maybe you can edit my first post. I would like anyone to put in there input. Especially since Shade put those screenshots in. Now anyone will be able to voice there opinion and thats how i want it.

I think I'll wait until GW Factions comes out, I should have my laptop by then. Will someone tell me if GW will run on the following computer? If so, I might just get GW to pass the time.

I think that is all that matters, I just don't know if the graphics card will support this game well enough to play regularly.

your RAM and graphics card are way off what you would need.

For GW I would recommend minimum of 512 RAM and probably at least 256 graphics.

DLS, do you actually have 254 mb RAM? That's an unusual number...

Shade, I like that third cape with the spider, it looks good.

DSL, I got this game with only 256 mb on my RAM and it was very slow and laggy and basicly unplayable. But luckly my dad just got a 512mb ram card for his birthday(he plays online games too) and he stuck his old 256 mb card into my computer so I had 512mb and it works great. :)

DLS, you your ram is a little low. But, i know someone that used to play Guild wars on his intel card. The Graphics sucked and the game lagged quite a bit more than usually. Sorry to say but i wouldnt recommend buying it. Sure your ram isnt 256MB?

I'd advise a graphics card with at least 128 mb ram, I have one also and it works without lag.

That's what I figured, I'm not too worried about it though, this computer wasn't made for gaming. I'll have my desktop here soon enough, or my laptop, whichever comes first.

Im making a Monk character and I'm wondering what the second class should be. A ranger might be good so I can set traps for my enemies if they decide to get close but a mesmer could also be good so you can lower damage done to you and all that good stuff. Any ideas?

Mesmer imo is a great addition to monk skills, in this way you can heal teammates and disrupt enemies spells or skills.
