Axbow/Exbow thoughts (in General)

Many people see PL as an Axbow/Exbow nerf. What are your thought on the following idea to make these items useful again?

1. Make Axbow and Exbow target opponent's minion with the highest dexterity and strength respectfully.

2. Make PL not effect dex/strength drains and only damage.

#1 is already the case...

What exactly would respectful targeting of one's opponents read like, in a play-by-play? ;)

suggestion: if PL minion can't absorb as much ST (DX) as targeted minion would have become drained, than absorb ST/DX from targeted minion instead.
So ST/DX drain would be the same link as it's already with HP.

I'm with you.

My formulation is a bit unclear, so I'll give an example:

Minion A, 1000HP, 10ST, 10DX, enough PL
Minion B, 1000HP, 1000ST, 1000DX

opponent shoots with axbow 100 damage and 20% dx-drain (which is here 200DX)

result after fight as it's now (better: as i understood it)

A: 910HP, 10ST, -190DX
B: 1000HP, 1000ST, 1000DX

with my change this would be:

A: 910HP, 10ST, 10DX
B: 1000HP, 1000ST, 800DX

because 20% from 1000DX is more DX than minion A has.

If minion A had 200DX the result would become:

A: 910HP, 10ST, 0DX
B: 1000HP, 1000ST, 1000DX

and so minion A was able to absorb the DX drain, just as he does with the HPs.

Maybe in a month or 4 Jon will notice he made them useless, then make a change.

My thoughts were that either:

A) The drain should still be passed along, but the damage sent to the PL minion, like previously mentioned

or

B) The cost of upgrading the damage modifier should be significantly dropped but the amount of drain per x dropped as well. This would allow for more damage to be dealt while keeping drain levels still related to upgrade costs.
