From the blacksmith naming page:
To extend the naming period of an item, just select it and give it the same name again.
And yet it doesn't work...

Did a test of my own to see it with my own eyes:
Naming page / confirmation page:
Before: Grond 'Hammer of the Underworld' [84x92] (+50)
After: Grond 'Hammer of the Underworld' [84x92] (+50)
Before: Angainor 'The Chain of Melkor' [4x40] (+65)
After: Angainor 'The Chain of Melkor' [4x40] (+65)
Payment page:
An item has already been forged with the Name "Grond 'Hammer of the Underworld'." You'll have to come up with something else. (Variations of capitalization do count as different names.)

Loaning the following items:

Transfer fee: $184,961
So this just has cost me $184,961 without a name (I don't blame the namer)...
sigh...

so nvm that little rant of mine, but still there is a bug with the item naming imo!

the name i wanted it to be:
Glaurung 'Golden Father of Dragons'
the name i was 'forced to choose' as an alternative:
Glaurung 'Golden father of Dragons'
