The problem is that everytime i try and play a video over the internet with WMP, it says its loading but then it stops and doesnt play the video. Anyone know any suggestions? Ive already made sure that my connection speed was correct.
Thanks

Here's your solution: use
Winamp.
i already have wmp 10, divx, and quick time. Every time i try and play streamed content though, a window pops up with a mini version of wmp. Thats why i need to figure out how to play streamed content with windows media player. Sorry for not being clear enough.
Try setting it to your primary media player.

"I dont recommend winamp as its big and bulky. If i recall it also installs a few aol stuff along side it."
Are you insane? The full version of Winamp is only 20Mb, and is one of the fastest media players I've used, and can handle nearly every possible type of media file. RealPlayer and iTunes are both slow by comparison, and RealPlayer is full of ads. And what do you mean by "aol stuff"? I've never seen any.
Actually, on second thought, I think you may have used an old version of winamp. The current one is very good.
i already tried that. Every time i try and play online content it says loading media or something then it just stops. I cant use any other programs because a new window pops up with windows media player so im forced to use windows to play that online content.
no firewall, but whats a router? Not too good with technology.
