Suggestion: lesser minions. (in General)

See title.

Good parts:
- you can choose what they train.
- can be assigned to the minions you've hired.

Bad parts:
- not much use as a meat wall, each one has only 10 HP.
- limit of lesser minions is determined by MPR.
- cost of lesser minions is at random. Amount changes every 2 days.

This would probably change the strategies that everyone here on CB uses completely. If it's a bad suggestion, drop an anvil on me.

many anvils shall drop on you my friend.

I think a better idea would be to... use a familiar.

Having a lesser minion with 10 HP would favor FB too much, since FB would easily damage other minions and kill off the lesser minion on the first round. However, they would take up an entire round for others to kill that don't use FB.

Pixel, AS+RoS. Apply AMF then split FB, lets say 6 ways (4 normal minions and 2 lesser minions). That would turn each of them into FB stoppers, especially if one of those normal minions was a Wall with a large natural HP and PL. Another way to think about it is they are as effective as Ranger's enchanters... no HP, but with enchantments like VA that have a max effectiveness or like Haste that don't need to be huge to still give a nice boost in a team's performance.

Its a cool idea, but it has no potential to be balanced for actual use. Instead of forcing a person to choose up to four enchantments of each type, you could have five or more without much of a hassle. Given a few months, it would slowly drain away the differences. Why make choices when you can choose to have everything?

*claps*

If you make a couple of small changes, I could really get to like this idea.

How about the lesser minions are hired the same way other minions are hired, and opperate just as other minions do. However they gain EXP at a rate far bellow normal (I'm talking in the ballpark of 30% here).
Damage dealt to them should not be limited to that minion (i.e you hit a lesser minion with 10k HP for 50k damage, 10k goes to it, 40k goes to the next in line).

To explain further, I know the option of getting more and more minions (although there could be a limit of 10 or so) is overpowered, but I would really like to see this as an option.
Anything that adds so much to overall strategy is worth a little effort to get it working.

Think about it, anyone with half a brain can see that it's better to have a few powerful minions than twenty weak ones. I'm a big fan of anyone who can come up with ideas that are completely unheard of and make them work... I'd like to see people given a chance to do just that.

Just my 4 cents. - As I'm always right, after all.

FORS imo, we already have lesser minions.

Train -> enlist -> pay least price. :)

This seems to be almost the same idea as the idea to be able to hire "base" minions at low cost -- hire a new minion with no xp, for a minimal fee.

Shade! *waves*
But you are wrong though ;P
Hiring a cheaper minion has no long term downsides. It's only until your minions even out that any difference is noticable.
Whether you take Seran's idea or my version of it, lesser is clearly lesser.

i think another matter is EXP, i currently get 20-30 EXP each for my 4 minions. add another 2 lesser minions the larger one's will still lose EXP
it would also have to show up your lesser minion gained 10 EXP. Its to much EXP dilution if you ask me your minion wont be going anywhere
